Looks like they already caught it. When you search it comes up as $19.82, but click on the item and it's full price.

Sorry, I tried to post it as soon after I ordered.

Although, I just checked and it still says $19.82. I went videogames/nintendo wii/wii games/coming soon. clicked on it, clicked on preorder. At that point the price is still there. If it doesn't work oh well, but keep checking.

I can't order it from work but my wife seems to be able to order it from home without a problem.

She tells me that there is a note on the website saying that they can cancel an order at any time at their discretion.

Yup we got one of those emails from walmart too.

I'll have to give them credit, considering the clear statement on their website that they reserve the right to cancel orders for any reason, I don't think they HAD to do this, but it was nice.

I'll have to give them credit, considering the clear statement on their website that they reserve the right to cancel orders for any reason, I don't think they HAD to do this, but it was nice.

It was Walmart trying to save some face due to the mix up they caused. To keep the consumer happy, they took a bit of a loss to make sure that they came back. Its just the simplest of principles when it comes to retail

If there is a problem, and yes there was one as many customers canceled other orders they had made, the solution is always to give store credit or gift cards to make the customer come back to the store/web site.

Now here is the brilliance of this, if some customers still feel burned about this, they will no use the gift cards. But being that the loss is really only taken if the card is used, it will not hurt them.

On the other side, the only way to hurt them is to use the cards as I said. However, who is going to spend exactly $10? No one, they will either use the card once and have to play tax out of pocket, have a remaining balance they will never use, or use the card as a "10 dollar off coupon" of sorts towards a bigger purchase.

But in all actuality, Walmart will not take a loss for this, as they probably have some insurance that covers situations as of this.

I'll probably pick up the Wii zapper, which is under $20 with my gift card. I wanted to get it anyway, and it runs for around $25 in the local stores. Nearly $7 to ship it seems high for ground shipping of that item, but it's still a good deal.
