Alex O'Loughlin plays Mick St. John, a 85 year old vampire who looks like to be in his 30s, that has a cover job as a private investigator to investigate vampire activity and unsolved crimes in Los Angeles. Vampires in Moonlight are immortal, as young as the were when the were turned, eat only blood, heal quickly, very vulnerable to fire, get immobilized by stakes and can't fly or change shape. There is a back story where he saved Beth Turner, played by Sophia Myles, as a child and now grown-up as a TV reporter, she helps him with his cases. Jason Dohring, who plays Josef Konstantin, is Mick's sarcastic much older friend who looks younger.

It has won the People's Choice Award (http://www.pcavote.com/pca/show.jsp) for Favorite New TV Drama

This show is directly after Jay Mohr (http://jaymohr.com/) & Jennifer Love Hewitt's Ghost Whisperer (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/ghost_whisperer/) on CBS Fridays.

Thanks SOS. But what does this have to do with O&A?

EDIT: I just read the imdb and Anthony (from the O&A radio show)'s gardener's 2nd cousin is good friends with Moonlight's Casting Director's pool boy. Good work as usual.

Get your hat.

I have watched a couple of episodes and like the show. However, the Friday night timeslot sucks a thick one.

Of course I also liked 'Forever Knight,' which many claim 'Moonlight' is ripping off. There are obvious similarities (you would have to be blind to miss them), but the production quality of 'Moonlight' is obviously higher and there are enough differences in the back-story to differentiate the two.

Give it a shot if you get the chance. Given time to grow I think it could become really good.

EDIT: And congrats to SOS for looking around the board and participating in a non-O&A thread. Welcome Budday!

The episode when Beth got high on the vampire ash was clearly the best. She looked so hot in that one.

She is definitely hot, but anybody else find it somewhat ironic that Sophia Myles played a vampire in Underworld?

(and this is probably the Alanis Morissette version of irony rather than the strict definition)

Did you all here about this new show, its got this comedian Jerry Seinfeld and its about he and his 3 friends, one of whom is his wacky neighbor, an ex girlfriend and his best friend. I think the show is about nothing or so i have heard, watch for it to start on Wednesday and then maybe move into a prime slot on Thursday night. Im betting it will even be must see tv

Damn, I knew she looked familiar, but I never put the two together.
