Alkey asked me a while back if when I look at myself, do I still see myself as fat? I said yea cause I still wanna lose 30-35 pounds but I dunno if i'll ever be able to think of myself as "thin" or "normal". I guess cause I havent been normal since I finished college (the first time) back in 99, so its almost a decade of battling this weight issue. Obviously most people have to lose like 10 or 20 pounds and haven't ever really been morbidly obese like I was, I don't even know if thats morbidly obese, that should be like you'll be dead in 5 minutes obese. Just wondering if those who have had weight issues for a period of time or were really big, etc? Can you ever look at yourself and not see the fat you?

I've gone up and down in weight a couple of times. I graduated college at about 215 lbs after being a vegetarian for two years (I probably got up to 260 or so at some point before that), and I remember constantly complaining about how I needed to lose weight. I saw a picture of myself around that time and was shocked at how thin I was.
Right now, I'm pretty sure I'll be alright with myself at 260, and really pleased at 240, but probably too lazy to get down to 220 (That would put me around 10% bodyfat).
I think my attitude's better now than it was back then, and I realize that my quality of life doesn't really hinge on just 10 lbs, but it does on 70 lbs. And I should definitely impose an upper limit on my weight.
