They suck.

True, they might be old and have trouble remembering most things in their life. At what point do you give up and say to yourself, "I know I'm not getting my Wilco CD back, I should just go out and get a new copy and ask him to reimburse me"?

I'm sick of this shit and I'm ready to kick some ass if I have to!

What have you given to someone to borrow and not gotten back in a really long time?

Let's hear your stories of friendships ruined over trivial crap.

I know a cocksucker who I drove all the way out to Long Island and back for the Ron and Fez Big Ass Night of Fights I. On the way back he puked all over the side of my van and never offered to clean it. Another time, I let him crash on my couch when he was too loaded to drive home.

Just a month ago, I drove all the way to central Jersey to pick him up and take him to Brooklyn for the Ron and Fez Christmas party and then drove him home in an ice storm. Did this prick offer to pay gas, toll or even buy me a drink? Negative.

I also gave him an EXTREMELY generous cash gift for his wedding. The marrriage lasted six months. Shouldn't I be entitled.to a partial refund?

My roomate in grad school used to 'borrow' clothes from me all the time. When I moved to Jersey recently he came to visit. First time I had seen him in 17 years and he was dressed head to toe in my 'borrowed' clothes. I have never laughed harder in all of my life.

Hate.

What is worse is when you come across said borrowed item and it clearly has not/is not being taken care of.

People have no respect.

What I hate the most is when you let someone borrow something. They forget to give it back, and then they end up having it so long that when you ask for it, they actually believe it is theirs and not yours

I let a buddy borrow a book of mine that I never got back. That was 20 years ago.

My brother does that all the time. He'll even give me a story about how he remembers where he was when he bought it.

A guy I used to work with always borrowed CDs without my permission (we had a CD player in the office and I always had a stack laying around) and wouldn't give them back until I asked. Twice he lost my CDs and didn't offer to replace them. Another time he lost the case and just gave me the CD in a blank case. A few others he claimed were his. Arrgh! He got really pissed for some reason when I put my name on every CD of mine in the office.

I also lent out my Father Ted DVD to a friend and never saw it again. It's been so long I'd feel funny asking for it back now.
