JR high school dances

I looked so forward to them! I remember one time getting all gussied up in my designer jeans and platform shoes. Sigh-- no boys ever danced with me. I danced with my girlfriends instead!

No matter what school you went to, there was ALWAYS a girl crying in the girls' bathroom at some point of the night!

I remember they always played "jungle love" by the steve miller band.

That was back in 77 78.

I remember putting on my parachute pants, and wearing my hat sideways....I was the break dancing John Travolta of Accompsett Jr High!!!

Our JR high dances were so lame, only like 40 kids went to them. However, we also always had the girl who was crying, her name was Jessi.

I like Rooster had those paracuhte pants on. Those or my vinyl leatherette pants, with a duran duran style rayon muscle shirt and the leather jacket from wilsons leather. oh dont forget the boots and the a half pint of hair gel.

i went to one the 8th grade dance it was fun i guess i was hanging out in the girls bathroom and messing around with make up but it felt strange i didnt know how to dress up to

well, i guess this will basically give away my age, but i remember a jr high school dance where they played smells like teen spirit... it was the new big thing. my friends and i were so out of control dancing to it that i dislocated my neck. i couldn't hold my head up for a couple of days, and then i had to go and have someone pop it back into place for me. ahh, memories

I remember slow dancing with my date to the Eagles "Best Of My Love" and all of a sudden we were yanked off the dancefloor for "bad touching".
