Hey guys - I need some help figuring out how to use an internet proxy for IE7. I have never tried to use such things before and am not sure how to go about it.

I want to try 2 things:

Find a site that can serve as a "spoof" so I can surf to 'questionable' sites while at work (read below).

Find out how to use a proxy server so I can look like I am connecting to a site from another country.

I do not have nefarious intent: I need info on #1 so I can fill in the bosses at work; I don't know where to find spoofing sites but thought some of you guys might. I just need to know where to find them and how they work - we aren't going to block them; i just want to look good/knowledgeable.

For #2, I want to log onto the BBC website and be able to view video; since I am connecting from the US it won't let me see any 'exclusive content' that is posted on their site. I have to be connected via a UK server/proxy to be able to view video (episodes of Doctor Who, Torchwood, etc.) or other exclusive content.

Any help you guys can provide would be great. Thanks Buddays!

For #1 try googling "anonymous web browser" "anonymizing proxy server" or "web proxy server." You can just use a web proxy as opposed to setting up a proxy server in your web browser.

For #2 try googling "proxy server lists" and then just sort through them by geographic area. The server and port number will need to be entered into your web browser to use them.

it's great for scat.

Most proxy sites don't support flash or SSL so do a google search for other free proxy sites and look for an option for at least flash pass through if you're checking out "youtube".
