The sad thing about the XFL is it could have succeeded if they started small, say on ESPN. Because it was on NBC, it was doomed. They put 20k people in Giants Stadium in February; so ticket sales wasn't getting hurt.

I think the fire is there to make sure the people stay underwater without putting plexiglass there. They want to exhaust them, so doing 20 feet underwater is a lot more exhausting than 20 feet standard.

that was for sure her acl. it was from when she got hit off to the side. with the adrenaline going she probably dindn't realize how bad it was, that's why it totally buckled when she tried to run on her own.

I may throwing too much thought into this - but here it goes anyway:

1: Everything the contestants said to Hogan or Ali sounded scripted. I had to start muting it by the end.
2: My favorite event, assult, was slowed down too much by having to LOAD the weapons.
3: The event where you dunk the balls was bad before, and it is worse now.
4: The women Gladiators were very poor - Helga was just flat out AWFUL in her ONE event.
5: The NEW event where you throw the sacks while someone runs across the bridge was too easy for the guys - they need to have medicine balls as well.
6: The ring event needed more rings. Too many people getting caught without another ring around.

7, and most importantly....

The ELIMINATOR is too damn hard. In the first seasons of the old Gladiator they had the treadmill at the end - and it killed the show - and eventually they changed it in season two... this time its even worse. Also, where were the Gladiators? They need to be involved in the end somehow. There also needed to be penalties for the barrell roll and hand-bike not being completed fully - as it makes no sense to try either of them - its faster just to skip them. It needs to be faster and way more exciting.

The best part was the Wolf guy who was legitimately crazy, and the gauntlet was decent - especially the "facial" line.

Overall the show was just awful. It was slow and too scripted. It is like they built the show around space in some shitty building instead of making a show that would actually be fun to watch.

I think there is only 16 total contestants. 8 guys and 8 girls, it shows the 2 guys moving on to the next round and only had 2 more open spots underneath in the brackets, same with the women.

I cant stand listening to a women sound like a man. Whenever I hear a women talk sport and its a man sport it makes me cringe, same with hearing a female marine do her whoooaaa.

There are just somethings that will never sound right coming out of womens mouths. Just like a straight guy talking fashion. It doesnt sound right.

1: hogan can not come out and do the hogan-hand-swing-to-ear, and then go into the nwo-arch-and-point. 2 different eras, brother.

2- way too fucking scripted, and too much talking. especially when that dood put up his dukes to leila. are you fucking kidding me? she'd fuck you the fuck up. just shaddup and do your thing.

4- is it just me, or was assault way to slow? fuck the tennis balls. give the dood a face shield, and give justice (or whoever) a paintball gun. faster, hurts more, and more entertaining. tennis balls are so 1980's.

all in all, it has potential, but needs to be cleaned up. i enjoy nothing more than seeing others get beaten into oblivion by choice.

Okay, so the last season was ridiculous, but for some reason I couldn't resist recording Season 2 a couple of nights ago (no way I'm watching this without a DVR). Still ridiculous as the competitors really ham it up moreso than last season, but at least they fixed some of the events. The Wall is a lot taller and Hang Tough is further across. Even the Eliminator is tougher.

There is also a new female Gladiator named Phoenix. Crush still has the best body, but man that Phoenix is a gorgeous woman. Definitely want to see more of her.

It's utter garbage, but I just can't turn away.
