Andrew Olmsted was a major in the military and was keeping everyone up to date on his blog. While surfing around on the web I came up on a story about the military blogger and felt very touched by some of the stuff he said in his blog and figured you guys would like to see it too. He had someone else post his final blog entry in the event of his death in Iraq, he seemed to really be at peace with himself and where his life was, I guess that sort of goes with the job when your over fighting a war. He died last night January 3rd.

Thank you for posting that, even though it made me sad. I looked up his info on the DoD website.

First Infantry Division. I was on Fort Riley as my last duty station in the active Army. You can never serve alongside finer soldiers.

I barely made it through the first paragraph. Too sad, and I don't cry on Saturdays.
