where i grew up, that wouldn't be impressive, sadly. and i also grew up with crack being sold on the corner, so just blanket "drugs" leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

yea, that was how it was asked. i think thats part of it. Where Ive been, you had to look for anything much worse then weed, and you had to look for anything that wasnt from the kitchen in terms of weapons. At least until I started smoking weed. Now I pretty much know where to find anything, even things im not interested in

There's a big difference though between a gun a parent buys for the kid and one you find and are surprised its there.

When I was 13, I had all of the above in my room. Some weed, condoms (but I did not have a chance to use them for years to come), porn and many guns. Growing up in a rural area that is defined by hunting is common down here - so weapons are allowable.

But, I could see that a weapon in a 13 year old's room in an inner city environment could somehow be shocking.
