Hey
Happy New year's to everyone. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas. My wife bought me a new MyFi. Now I am thinking about exchanging it for a INNO. My question is does the INNO work like the MYFi with the wireless FM transmission. It says in the product review that it works in the car cradle. Does it work with the home cradle? Also I use the unit a lot as a portable while I am at work, does the INNO have a good internal antenna? Will the reception be as good or better then the MYFI?
Don't know if I should just use the new MYFI, or exchange if for the INNO? Would like to get some people opinions on the INNO.
Thanks

I just got an Inno as a gift, and although it DOES have an FM Modulator, you have to be plugged into the Car dock for it to work. I find that to be an annoying problem and am more than a little pissed.
However, they are releasing a new product in January called the FM Buddy that will activate the FM Modulator anywhere. Here's a link (http://www.myradiostore.com/home-car-kits/for-inno-kit/fm-buddy.html). The biggest issue I have with it is that you have to be plugged into a power source for the Buddy to work, but I guess you wouldn't really need it if you are listening on the go.
as for the antenna, I am not sure about the quality yet. I just activated last night and haven't gotten to play around yet. I will let you know.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info. So how do you set up the home use now? Do you have to have wires running from the unit to your stereo? Can not decide what to do.
Thanks again.
Also do you know if myradiostore has a actually store or do I have to deal with them just over the phone and web site?

MRS doesn't have a physical store - it's all online and phone. However most stores that carry electronics should also have the XM basics available (Circuit city, Best Buy, etc.).
The Inno comes with the Home package, and that includes a short splitter for hooking into your stereo system via patch cables. If you have the unit farther away than a few inches you will have to get a length of audio cable with the standard Red & White terminals.
I have been using my Roady2 to broadcast over FM to the radios in my apartment for years. Until I figure out what to do with the Inno I still have the Raody2 running.
I was thinking about just buying an Inno car kit for use in my home, but they are still really expensive. Around $60-70 if I remember correctly. It will just be more economical to wait for the FM Buddy or buy a 3rd party FM Modulator.

Thanks for the info. I think I am just going to stick with the MYFI. I have extra batteries, it is all set up to use at home and in the car.
If I could just get the ear piece fixed on my old unit then I would not need a new one.
Thanks again for the info.

Are you having a stroke? Do I need to call somebody? Blink once for yes!
BTW - No problem. I would have preferred to get a MyFi or a SkyFi, but I got the Inno as a gift. Oh well, I will make the best of it!

The Car Dock thing is SureConnect and I think it's only in the Inno2. If you can get an Inno1, I think you can use the FM transmitter whenever but I'm sure if you call MRS they can help you out.

According to what some have told me they do not have a store anymore in LIC. Also with the MyFi, when I take out the headphones from the unit it turns on the FM transmitter, does it do the same thing on the INNO?
Still have not decided..
