so i bought a brita filter because the local water sux
and it keeps getting this green fuz in the bottem
ive cleaned it thoroughly and replaced the filter a few times(far before filters are due)
anyone have any theories?

it sounded to me like he had one of the ones that attach to your tap.

that's what we have as well. they rock. we used to have one of the big 2 gallon or so ones that stayed in the fridge, but the pitchers are so much more convenient.

I just wish they filtered faster.
I am definitely going to get one of those for my desk at work. The water there isn't too bad but it could improve.

Clean out the pitcher and try a new filter. You may have just hit on an anomaly.
