big lebowski/carpet is disgusting

2 different and completely disconected subjects

the first is i went back and watched big lebowski after a few years of not seeing/going to film school/growing up some

i know every line by heart and it is as funny as ever
truely a special movie


the other topic:
everone should hardwood their entire homes
fuck carpet
the stuff\ dirt that gets ground in is gross\traps dust and dander really disgusting stuff

abolish carpeting!

I wholeheartedly agree with these opinions! I love The Big Lebowski....... I hate carpets! Have you ever been in a house with a carpeted bathroom?! I have.....I have.... and I wonder why anyone would invite such danger into their lives.... Bathroom carpet... AHHHH!

The first thing I did when we bought our house was rip out all the carpet and replace it with hardwood/tile. I found three dead mummified snakes that had curled up between the carpet and the padding. Nice.

And hardwood floors are really popular. Just ask Reilly.

I dont like carpeting in the house. I LOVE IT!!!! theres nothing like nice soft shag carpeting walking barefoot, or getting it on. You could get slivers in the ass. And when the dog scoots his ass on a hardwood floor, it makes an annoying squeaking noise.

Ripped the carpet out of my house right after I bought it while enjoying a white russian and discovered that there were good hardwood floors underneath. The carpet was so old that the padding had turned to dust. Had the hardwood floors redone and now they look great.

The only bad thing about carpeting is that some people walk on it with their filthy, disgusting shoes on. The very same shoes that have been outside walking through animal feces and urine, saliva, and God only knows what else.

Why in the name of sanity haven't we Westerners adopted the Japanese practice of taking our shoes off when we enter a home?

I tried two times to make it through this movie and just couldn't do it. I'm sure it's a great movie because you all rave about it so. I'll try again in a while.
As for carpet, we gutted the house when we moved in too and discovered years of cat piss and ruin like most. No dead animals tho.
In the rooms where there was wood floor, we stripped it and left it and did Orientals. (Yes they thanked us.)
