Maybe some of you folks around here have this game or know what the fuck this error means.........I've sent an e-mail to Activision about it and haven't recieved a response yet, but heres the error.

"Error during initialization:
Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data."

here are the....-=MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS=-

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP/Vista (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)

Microsoft DirectX(R) 9.0c (included) (Windows Vista users will need to install the DirectX 9.0c updated included in the game disc)

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported

RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800Pro or better

SOUND CARD: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

HDD SPACE: 8GB of free hard drive space

INTERNET: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity

my video card is a Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family.

I've been to a bunch of gaming sites that have profiles of a lot of the gamers, and I've searched them for types of video cards they play with with a result of many of them having that exact same card. How can they play the game with the same card but I can't?

If anyone here has had this problem while trying to start a game, any help is appreciated.....this is my christmas present. Would suck if I had to take it back.

It's probably the card drivers. If the problem persists, it might be your card or something else.

If all else fails, it's just one of those rare computer flukes that you have as I doubt the programming was poorly made- activision's been good in the past with PC gaming.

2k on the other hand... Blech...

see if your cards drivers need to be updated, and if its up to date. it has to be that your card isnt up to standard with COD4's req.
