What are you excited to give/receive this year?
I was lucky enough to already get some gift cards for my Birthday and Christmas...bought a nice new little DVD player.
As well as my Ukulele! Can't wait to be the new BOBO in 2008!
Also have some pretty cool gifts I'm giving out.
A beautiful portrait of Daniela's dog that I took in the summer, and I framed it up...brings a tear to my eye...what a cute pup.
Merry Christmas y'all!

The biggest joy I get on Christmas is giving gifts to my niece and nephew. They're still young and believe in Santa and all that, so I get a big kick out of it.
As for me, I'm getting some stuff for my kitchen that I'm really psyched about.

I will love the look of surprise on my wife, when she sees the pair of uggs I got her
They were sold out everywhere, I had to do hardcore research and got them at Western Boot place in California

she is sad and doesn't think she is getting them

I'm surprising my wife with four day passes to the Masters in April. We're both big sports fans and have always wanted to go to Augusta.

This is the first year in a while I've been really excited to give presents. I got my wife a Coach bag, I got my parents a LCD tv, and I got my sister and brother in law tickets (no specific date, redeemable anytime between now and 2014) to Blue Man Group, which they've mentioned they wanted to go see.
My wife told me she was going to get me a PS3, but we decided to go to Puerto Rico in January, so she doesn't have the money to spend for a big present for me. But just the fact that she thought of buying that for me is awesome.

my wife wanted fuggs from costco (knock off uggs... look and feel the same to me).
i got her a few other small things. i like to give. i dont recieve well, though.
bought myself a new bass in sept and a new reef tank in oct (as a presents to myself).
but, i am soooooooooooooooooo excited to see my son on christmas. he knows santa brings presents, and knows how to open them.
(doing the parent thing again) but my son has the most cutest awesomest "wow" face.
to see him light up like that is the only present i could ever ask for.

I'm a little concerned about that kayak for the wife. We're not going to have a "Natalie Holloway situation ", are we ?

I love giving things that are truly appreciated or suprising. I got my chick a few things she wanted but I also got her a cashmere sweater that she was going to buy but found it too expensive so I grabbed it that same day and it was a complete shock to her. Im getting digital cable and dvr for my dad because he really wants it but doesn't want to justify it (although there are two HDTVs in the house).
For the life of me I can't think of one single material thing I want for Christmas. Honest.
I literally have everything I want or need.
And I despise the pressure and stress of having to buy gifts. I like to pick up something for somebody if it catches my eye and makes me think of them, whether it's July or December. But being forced to buy something is an impossible task.
Fuck Christmas.

Lou feels the same way. He claims that every day is Christmas because if he wants something he buys it.
I can't state what I got him for fear he might read this. It's a long shot that he would but you never know.

I got my brother and his wife tickets to see Van Halen, which I know they'll love, I really don't want or need anything for myself.
Other than that, this is going to be a real quiet Christmas for me. My Dad is real sick and we won't be having the usual big Italian Christmas eve dinner and family get together. I'm probably going to do some work around the house I've been putting off on Tuesday.

I really couldn't tell you what I've given people. My wife does all the Christmas present buying and we don't buy each other gifts. It's fun to watch people open their presents from me on Christmas; my surprise is as big as theirs. I on the other hand have already received Halo 3, some PJs, and a few gift cards.

I got my wife a sewing table for her sewing machine ... something she was asking for years ago and we never had room in the old apartment. I will be completely suprised by my gift from her, she asked for suggestions and everything I suggested was small in size ... there's a very large box sitting under the tree, so I am stumped.

Going to Vegas for the first time saturday. Kind of a self present, but I am going to see my bro. I am excited to give him a 94-95 NY rangers media guide, w/ tons of autographs. Including but not limited to Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Jeff Buekeboom, more but no Messier. It is so awesome.

Got home from work last week to find a box of Omaha steaks on the doorstep from a co-worker. It filled the freezer to the brim. About 10 minutes ago I went to take the garbage out....behold...another box of Omaha steaks, this time from Grandma. The same excact contents.
I am now the proud owner of a boatload of steaks and fish, 12 burgers, 12baked potatoes, 2 chocolate cakes and 2 sets of steaknifes. If the line's too long at Outback this weekend, feel free to stop by.

I like to get all of my shopping done at once. That usually means either the music shop or the bookstore. This year it was the bookstore. I got my Dad "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthhony Bourdain. I sent it before I read it. Boy, is he in for a surprise.
