this hinges on RVD Making his return to WWE...
Tommy Dreamer wins... (NYC would erupt for a Dreamer victory. And the internet fans would love it as well. Totally different/unexpected)
talks a whole bunch of shit about being the last true ECW original.
RVD comes out and challenges him to a match at NWO...
RVD wins that match.
RVD faces someone for the title shot at the March PPV. Or, depending on crowd reaction/ratings could face Punk for the title and try to breath some life into ECW

As far as Tommy Dreamer winning the Royal Rumble, I doubt it. My new bet is on Mr. Kennedy but if that happens he'll end up injuring himself or get suspended or something like that just to screw up his career again (however I hope that is not the case). Tommy Dreamer I think would be better off in a storyline where he kinda tries to redeem himself like the Rocky Balboa movie.

unfortunately dreamer winning doesnt achieve the long term goals the wwe wants

ususally the winner is someone they want to elevate into the main event picture, like batista, rey mysterio for example



so who fits that bill this year ??? kennedy is the first to come to mind and he had it last year with the money in the bank and got injured so they may give this to him to put him back on that track
