They couldn't get a venue to hold it - mainly due to the fact that people will be throwing up. Any place that has food and/or booze has to abide by Health Department guidelines. That is where the problem is.

I don't know if they will have it at all - I doubt it at this point. Both CBS and XM may also have pulled their support, but I don't know.

I doubt it. Every event they have is well attended. R&F events are well attended and O&A have a larger audience between FM and XM shows. They have never had trouble drawing a crowd for live events.

It would be a combo - any place big enough to hold the event had food service, which tripped the "health code trap." I know they tried to work out something with the Hard Rock, but the health issue was the sticking point. I would assume they ran into the same issue anywhere they checked.

I guess they may have been able to find a theater of some sort, but then you wouldn't be able to drink or party.

That's too bad, hopefully after the merger they'll be less frugal. In the meantime then they should sign Uninformed, they've got industry buzz too. I like uninformed more than Black Phillip but I think Patrice's unique relationship show concept would have more appeal and be better suited for a weekly/daily schedule.

If XM signed those two shows and then actually started advertising, they could cut a TV promo with soundbites from R&F, O&A, Uninformed and Black Phillip that would be so strong and funny that even Stern Fans would want to sign up, something for everybody; gays, blacks, racists and even redheads. Imagine a commercial like that running during NFL games, prime time whatever. Try and compare a Sirius promo with that, Stern and.... Bubba? Ferrell?... there's no diversity there. Advertising is the only reason Sirius is running away with this business. When XM decided to stop hemmoraging money they decided to completely stop advertising and I think that was a mistake. Sirius then spent even more on advertising. They really have some gems here and they're just not letting anyone know about it.
