I forget how me and reeph started on this topic but I think it would be a cool idea for a thread if everybody participates. If you don't know you will need to be forced to talk to your parents.

My mom said besides mama and dada it was bankie for my blankie.

What was your first word?

My folks swear to me the first sentence I uttered was "put the god damned shoes away" as i was tucked in my car seat.

I asked my parents once and they had no idea. Now I just lie and say it was "whiskey."

i don't know what this says about me but my first word was "intrauterine".

expecting serious answers for this question is kind of silly. kids start out saying reduplicated syllables like 'mama' or 'dada'. anyone who says their first word was 'freedom' or 'anti-establishmentarianism' is lying like a rug.

Honestly, mine was "absolutely," only it came out "ackawookie."

Meanwhile, my niece's first word was "shit." She and her parents will NOT be having a hand in teaching Baby 8 how to speak.

Why is it silly? It's a great idea for a thread. Most people don't actually know what their first words were, I had to ask my mom to tell me.

I know that nobody will believe me, but my son's first words were biwwy joe. ( Billy Joel) hahaha He used to point at the radio and say it. We used to do 8 hour road trips from Detroit to Illinois and I only played the same Billy Joel tape over and over.

There's no way my parents would remember mine, so I'll say that my oldest son's first word was "uh-oh".
