My father wants to create a start up disc, but he says he has a problem. He said that the instructions require that he use his system install disc, but Windows came loaded on his computer. I insist that he can use my XP install disc, and just use his product code. I know I'm right, because I've used this same disc on multiple computers, and just used different product codes on each comp. He insists that the installation disc has to have a product code embedded in it.
Can someone give me a way to explain to him, how he can create a start up disc, please? When I try, I might as well be talking to a wall.
GRRRR!!!!

You can create a bootable Windows CD with your CD and your father's product code if it would help calm his worries. You can also automate the Windows Installation, and add service packs/updates using this program. nlite:

He might be worried about the pre-installed programs that come on his computer. They'll be included on his system install discs. As far as product keys go, all that matters is that you have the right version of XP (oem, home, professional, etc.). You can use whatever install disc you want.

We have a problem, then. I have Pro and he has Media Edition.
