This may sound totally whacked, but is there anyone out there that has these abilities? Something happened to me last night, actually around 5 am, and I really need to figure out why and what, and what it was all about. I am totally serious. Thanks!

it probably means he either hasn't finished something that he wanted to finish or it involves another family member he was close to.

The harder you try to remember, the further away it will get. When you're relaxed, just before going to sleep, breathe slowly & count your breaths (to around 300) trying not to let your mind wander (this takes PRACTICE), and think about the dream as though you're trying to re-enter the situation easily. It'll come to you. If you're thinking about this and you're falling asleep, you may just go back into the dream. I've done it before. With enough practice, you can actually move around in your dreams, knowing that you're dreaming, and you can ask questions, examine the strangeness, and make yourself wake up and remember EVERYTHING.

You can also check out James Van Praagh at his site: http://www.vanpraagh.com/ and get his most recent book for help on how to do a few exploratory things.

Big Jim, I am being honest here, what do you your father "contacted" you? Like in a dream, or were you awake, or was it just over the phone or via email?

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

I lost my dad over a year ago from a massive heart attack. Yes I went through the mourning process and all that. But, this was MORE than a dream. I have had vivid dreams before, but NOT LIKE THIS. Thanks for the advice Belcher, I will try it. Incidentally, my step mother had a dream SIMILIAR to mine last week, we both received a hug before we woke up from my father, and that is what I most remember. She told me that on the phone today when I told her about last nite. But there was some sort of warning, or a message of warning. and thats what I am trying to figure out. Its kind of freaky, especially when I never did buy into that John Edwards TV show or what have you. Its weird, until it happens to you.

Wanna hear weird? My father dropped dead on Thanksgiving a few years ago, and the night before Thanksgiving this year, I had a too vivid dream where I was at the thanksgiving dinner table at my mother's house, and my father was sitting next to me. Knowing that he was quite dead in the dream, I realized that it was a dream and went out of my way to put my hand on his arm, something I never would've done in real life. He looked at me, as if "from beyond", and just nodded to me as if to say "You're doing alright".... something HE never would've done in real life. I know, it was a dream, but if anyone can explain the origin of dreams and why they exist, I'd like to hear it.

Hold on a second.... did I just write TWO serious posts in one Millenium? Without mentioning toilets, peeing or farts? I'm sorry, it was an accident.
