Oh, goodness. David "Green" Akers. GET IT?! His name is David Akers and there was a television show like 100 years ago called Green Acres. So he put both those together and made a funny, topical nickname for someone. Hilarious, people. Hilarious!

I think the NFL network and ESPN are both competing to see who can turn the most people off of watching football. If I watch the games on NFL Network, I have to listen to Bryant Gumbel. If I watch highlights on ESPN, Chris Berman. :thumbdown:

Berman is one of the luckiest guys in show biz. He's probably no better, talent-wise, than what he was before he went to ESPN: the sports dude on a mid-sized market's news show. But he got in on it on the ground floor, and stuck around, holding on to that position like grim death, until it just sort of seemed natural he was there. Sort of like Dick Vitale, who's even worse.

Berman like Howard Stern are just parodies of themselves, they used to be relevant with the type of things they did (shock jock, making up names/phrases for players) but now its just so cliche and stupid sounding but they have to go with what they know so they dont change and just sound boring

Berman is doing the same shit...the difference was, 10 years ago, ESPN had a bunch of funny guys working the network as hosts, so you could put up with him. Now that ESPN is stafed mostly with unfunny and personaliy-free drones, it just highlights how much Berman sucks.

"What young Met star might be traded?" <show picture of David Wright then go to commerical> 40 minutes later they tell us it's Milledge. And where's the fucking Hockey highlights? And the box scores from the baseball games. All we get now is a highlight and the line score across the bottom. Honestly, the crawl at the bottom of the page gives more info in an inch and a half than 90 minutes of Sportscenter. It's pointless for them to even have a show called Outside the Lines. Sportscenter is Outside the Lines with a couple of scores thrown in. Nice makeup Skip Bayless. Are you even a sports fan you uninformed antagonistic Maury Povich look-a-like douche.
