Usually if I want to go somewhere I just go. But the crap side of that is you can't share it with anyone.

I'd like to go to Russia in the next year or two. My good friends are all married and some have kids so they can't drop things at the drop of a hat.

That said, I'm okay with going by myself. BUT I'd really like to travel with someone who'll appreciate it. Anyone interested?

So far I'm looking at Moscow and St Petersburg. I figure at this point all of Russia is corrupt so I was planning to go on a tour... with flexibility. A tour with some flexibility of exploring on your own.

I'd imagine you can get a lot of bang for your buck over there, if it's anything like Bulgaria. All the Bulgarians I know say it's cheap as hell. One of them even built a huge house over there that would have cost about a million in the US. He did it mostly with pizza delivery tips that he made here in the States.

I recently spent a week in Moscow for business. Fantastic and historic city that take far more than a week to explore (think NYC). I throughly enjoyed my time but benefited by having local guides that kept me out of many pitfalls that are readily present throughout the country. The historical value is beyond significant but caution is certainly recommended.

As for going with you while I would love to show you what I encountered I must reserve that for my chick...please pm for tips/insight/suggestions...
