Just get that "Elizabeth" chick to close her legs and we're done with the stink!
The turnpike is our biggest problem. A lot of the industry and most of the commercial ports for the nation is out in a swamp that stinks of rotting vegitation to begin with. The most used corridor between Philly and NYC runs right through it!
Jersey would be a lot nicer if we get:
1. The Guidos from staten Isalnd off of our beaches.
2. The Brooklyn born Hip-Hop scum out of Bergen county.
3. The pig farming Eagles fans out of the south.
4. Soprano want to be's out of our trades.
5. To see an ID for clothing at malls so that NY'ers have to pay at least a 3% tax.
6. Korea out of Palisades Park
I love Jersey and must say, look at where a lot of the liscence plates are from the next time you're over here and realize that it's the assho;es from other states f'ing this place up!

Well put! Just go about 40 miles NW where I am (in the land of Moe) or out west to where Fat_Sunny roams to see the beauty of our state. The Turnpike/Newark Airport area does suck, probably due to it's proximity to NYC...

Well said!
If we stink so much, why all the transplants from NY and PA even after we show them the worst the state has to offer right up front? It's got to be better than whatever they're leaving!
We've got everything we need within an hours drive in any direction: the beach, the country, the city. Drive 10 minutes north, south or west from the turnpike and NJ is beautiful. Just don't tell anyone else. We've got enough ex-somewhere-else's living here already.
And our corrupt politicians are the best in the country, maybe the world.

Jersey rules. You can be in a more wooded, country area or to an urban center in like an hour. It's nice. Sure, I don't go into the more industrial and urban sections of NJ that much, but everything is there so if I decide to go, I have the option.
And NYC is less than an hour without traffic.

I hate the turnpike, AC expressway and the GS Parkway. I hate being held hostage at having to pay whenever I want to leave this shithole. I hate the fact that the gardens that make us the "garden state" are being razed on a daily basis to provide room to build overpriced McMansions by crooks like KHov Homes because of the dummies in NYC who watch "The Sopranos" and think NJ is their personal retirement community. I hate the strip malls, the Applebees and TGIFs that have taken over the personality of the original diners. I hate the circles, and I hate the jughandles that are replacing them. I hate that nobody here pulls over for ambulances and police cars, and you are considered a slowpoke doing 70 in a 65 MPH zone. I hate the radio stations that are in the Jersey Market, and the mind-numbing commercials that air on them. (Big Wallys, furniture store...big big values, selection and more!) I hate beach tags. We live in Northern NJ. We were all set to put the house up for sale and move to Monmouth Cty. My husband works for Essex Cty Parks. Just as we were all set to start looking, the county told the workers that you have to live in Essex Cty. to work for Essex Cty. I always wanted to live by the beach.

Would it be possible to maintain a residence as a sublet?

We've thought of that, but it's a 3 family house and he starts work at 7:00 a.m. That would be a commute for him. It would be at least an 1 hour 1 1/2 hour drive for him. He doesn't have enough senority to put a transfer in. He's been with the county for a little over 3 years. If he was able to stay in the publishing business, he would be about 8-10 years from retiring.

We're still working on our plans to succeede from North Jersey. New South Jersey. Now that's a name with class!
scott's a "piney from his nose down to his hiney"?
a creek is a "crick", mosquitoes have been known to carry a baby away and all of the incest jokes apply to the 609 area code.
Nature frequently attempts immolation of this entire area.
Jersey does suck and i'm glad I moved .75 miles over the line into PA. I can pack heat now.
