Ant's impression of Springsteen rules, but the Bud Light live reads he did back in the day as Bruce were 100 percent better any dreck they could do today.

i never said i didn't get the bit, i was merely commenting on it. and yes i am well aware of how good anthony's springsteen impression is. i also want to mention that if you use the term "noob," you might as well just tatoo douche on your forehead.

I grew up in Jersey and appreciate Ant's Bruce more every time I hear it. The best one I've heard is way back when Jimmy and Colin Quinn went to the Tranny Show.

You ask, I say good for them, I happen to agree, and I don't fault the guy for making untold millions as a workin' class joe, I like them fault him for not evolving as an artist and a person. If you want to see a real transformation (I'm not being sarcastic) check out Eminem in his progression of albums, seriously, you can't fault the guy cause he doesn't bullshit, he keeps up with his real life, from poverty to millionaire status. Poor old Bruce never could quite capture that, so fuck him. Plus he has about ten good songs total.

TheMojoPin

Sadly, the actual quality of Eminem's albums has just gotten shittier and shittier as he's "evolved," so maybe Bruce was on to something.

look at O & A's taste in music... Bruce fans should not be offened when Opie says he is overrated

And for what it's worth, Bruce and Patti drive themselves to the shows at the Meadowlands. I have the Bootleg from his shows in Jersey, with pictures of him, Patti, and the kids unloading a Durango.

There is some unbearable hypocrisy about O&A bashing on Bruce for making his money and living in Rumson, when they themselves have sold out as well.

Bash him for not being creative; bash him for not being a good singer. But he hasn't really used the "working man" gimmick in his shows in a while. He just comes on stage, rocks out, and leaves.

You and Roland should hold hands and cry when he sings Jersey Girl.

Roland informed everyone today that Bruce covers it at the end of his final of 10 shows or whatever he plays when he plays NY/NJ.

Any bit on Free FM thats entertaining and doesn't involve hearing about how "We can't do that" or "Bleeps are funny, no really they are!" is great.

It was an entertaining bit, Bruce makes money and live in a big house. So does O&A. Who gives a <bleep>?

Bruce was interesting in the 80's but I cant see the attraction to his music all this time since then. The only album I had was Tunnel of Love and it was ok. "Fat man sittin on a little stool" - needs to wipe off his pants.

Their tastes in music are extremely suspect. I remember once Opie went on a rant about how Deep Tracks sucks because they never play songs he knows, and he mocked the song they were playing at the time: "Cleaning Windows" by Van Morrison.

So which song does Ronnie B open the show with yesterday, even singing along quite adequately?

And it's a kickass song too. It's been in the back of my mind ever since I heard it yesterday.

They also complain when a band doesn't play the songs exactly like they are on the album when they play them live. If you want to listen to a song like it is on a cd, listen to the cd.

This is brilliant. You call out Roland because one of the reasons he was mocked for going to all the shows was to hear different songs and different arrangements, and then you give O&A shit for the exact same reason.

Yeah, I'm not a Springsteen fan, but taking O&A's taste in music seriously is about as foolish as following dating advice from Earl. O&A sound their most out of touch when they start talking about music. Has either of them bought a new album since In Utero?

I called out Roland?

All I said was Roland said Bruce played Jersey Girl at the end of his last show, after someone mentioned it was a Tom Waits song.

But really, how did you get me "calling out" Roland in there? Does your brain make up words and insert them whereever it can so you have a reason to be mad when you read sentences? Seriously, I keep re-reading it to figure out how you could swing and miss so bad, but I cannot figure it out.

OOOO! OOOO! OOOO! DEEP TRACKS PLAYED "SATELLITE OF LOVE" BY LOU REED THE OTHER DAY!

I was so happy I sang the whole song out loud in front of everyone who were justifiably horrified at my performance-but I didn't care, I don't like that song-I LOVE IT!

One awful trait they do rip off from Howard is continued profession and "name dropping" of youth oriented hard rock outside their demo.

Ok stop, we get it, you're trying to relate to your young audience, you don't really like this music.

QFT.

And when exactly did Bruce ever come out and say "I'm just a workin' man tryin' to make a living?" As a performer, he is one of the more low key musicians out there when it comes to any kind of pubilc persona. When he's on stage, he's on fire. He kidnapps Max Weinberg from Conan when going on tour! The man has a sense of humor. Say what you want about his music, but the man comes off personally as pretty cool.

I do think Ant's impression is hysterical, though. But Springsteen is alright with me.
