What is Walk Score? We help homebuyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods. Walk Score shows you a map of what's nearby and calculates a Walk Score for any property. Buying a house in a walkable neighborhood is good for your health and good for the environment.

But that's because I live near Tyson's Corner and the Galleria malls. There's nothing else walkable around here -- no neighborhood bars or restaurants.

97!!! What the hell is that shit?! What else could they put here?
Edit: Ok, I guess the score is calculated by your proximity to certain things. I put in a address 5 blocks north of me, and it got a 100. I think I gotta move.

I searched every place I've lived except for my dorms.
The house I grew up in has a score of 20.
The house Dad moved to when I was in college has a score of 8.
The house Dad currently lives in has a score of 3.
Mom's house has a score of 29.
My old apartment has a score of 80. I attribute this largely to its proximity to RU.
My current apartment has a score of 45.
And my work address has a score of 97.
(It's walk-able to a lot of different places, but I fear leaving the building.)

66 out of 100.
If it was based on coffeeshops only, I would get 100/100. Also, if it was based on karaoke proximity.
Oh, my closest movie theatre is porno, har!

66 out of 100. We live right next to an outlet mall, across the street from a restaurant (and a farm), and well within walking distance of a strip mall and a train station.
