I don't know if anyone else has been watching this, but I happened to catch a late replay when the first episode aired on Cartoon Network and it's amazing. It's a show from a year or two ago that aired on the BBC.

The premise is that a Steven King type horror writer writes, produces, directs and stars in an 80s style horror anthology series based in a hospital with his publisher. It's so intentionally awful that it's hilarious. I cannot get enough of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Excelsior! A stoopidly silly take on Lars Von Trier's "Riget" (aka "The Kingdom" TV mini series from 1994 about a haunted hospital. "Darkplace" is even funnier if you've seen that) featuring several Mighty Boosh alums. Are we forming some sort of club? I'm in if there are ridiculous hats involved.

It's a hilarious British comedy (possibly the first and last ever). I discovered it a couple years ago on Google Video, when that was new. I bought it on DVD but beware, it's Region 2.

Never saw the Kingdom, but I thought it was a satire from multiple sources. I'll have to seek that out.

Eh, we're American, what do we know between channel 4 and the bbc. All I know is that if Garth Marenghi wasn't so brilliant, he'd be the worst writer ever.

I caught it for the first time last night on CN.

I had no idea what the hell was going on (I was guessing sort of a Dark Shadows parody, but I laughed myself silly the entire time. Great, great show.

Yea this is one of my favourite shows.

I have the DVD - but as far as i recall the entire series is available online on a site like joox.net or tv-links.co.uk.

The episode were they all turn into broccoli is my favourite.

I also recommend you all watch the music video they made which is on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH4_mZh-bj8

1. It's so wonderful.

2. How cute is Richard Ayoade? Have you checked him in the IT Crowd? Adorable.

3. When Patton mentioned on Myspace that he'd been hanging out with Harlan Ellison, I wrote to ask if he'd seen this show, which I think is also a love-letter to that midget.

4. He hasn't written me back.

Dr. Rick Dagless- You're a woman!

Dr. Liz Asher- Yes, I hope that's not a problem!

The full episodes used to be up on SciFi channel.com. I love the tribute to Dark Shadows in the opening, and the show's a total scream.

I sort of pay attention to the show when Lou watches it. So far my favorite part was when they drank the water and became werewolves.

Badinia, I agree that guy from the IT Crowd is adorable and his voice is so annoying but I don't care because he's so cute.
