I've always named my cars, and of course named our boat. it's bad luck not to name a boat.
I named my fencing sabre but not my gun, oddly enough.

I never named any of my guitars, cars, or anything inanimate, but my friends did.
I had a piece of shit rust bucket Datsun back in the day that one of my buddies dubbed "The Flea" because he said it was small and annoying. The name stuck.
I also had a little bass boat that was painted the most hideous green you'd ever seen. Another friend christened it "The Sea Pickle."

Being that my middle name being Charles, I named my first car the Chuckwagon. Being that I'm lazy and uncreative, I just stuck a number after for every car since. I'm up to Chuckwagon XII.

My first car was a 1983 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel (I got it in the year 2000) It was named Hugo because it was old, German, and didn't like to get up in the morning. My new car(05 Scion tC) has no name, it just doesn't have the personality that the benz did.
I do the Ron thing of calling food names, as in when looking at a steak, "Look at that beautiful son of a bitch."
