So, Food Network cancelled his Emeril Live show. He will keep doing his Essence of Emeril show though. Hmmm......Alton Brown should take his place as Food Network whore. haha. Alton is amazing. I watch his episodes on youtube. Man is a genious.

I never liked the Emeril Live show... too much like a male Oprah; everything he did "amazed" the audience.

I enjoy The Essence, where its just him, a stove and a camera.

What about the live smooth-jazz band? It makes me want to be on a sailboat with a bunch of financially-comfortable balding white folks who used to be cokeheads but now they have kids and paunchy middles as we cruise through San Diego bay on a perfect sunny day with cheap white wine, swiss cheese whiz and crackers, and those really comfortable Sperry Topsider shoes, roomy Dockers, and a nice windbreaker with a nautical motif (like those nautical flags secretly spelling out something non-threatening and comfortable).

Unfortunately they're just gonna plug Paula Dean, Rachel Ray or Giada di Laurentis in there. Its good to see that tyler florence seems to be coming back to the network, though.

I want to see more Alton Brown, Tyler Florence and Jamie Oliver. I HATE HATE HATE Paula Dean and her whole "Hey Y'all" crap. I hope she chokes on some of that southern food she makes. I liked Ray in the beginning before she hit it big but now she is annoying. Giada I can only take in small doses. She smiles way too much. Yeesh, just show us your cans already, thats all you good for. Also, Mario Batalli needs some respect. The man is a god in my eyes. A fellow italiano. I want Molto Mario back!!!!!!

I don't know why anyone who would want to be even remotely known as a decent chef would sign up for that. Does he think restaurants will be knocking down the door of a former TV and Applebee's chef?

Don't get me wrong, I think he's OK, but he's never cooked anything I was DYING to try.
