Just heard on the rock station down here that Kevin Dubrow was found dead in his home in Las Vegas yesterday. He was 52.

btw, big Quiet Riot fan, although i was too little to remember them when the were around. I was born in 1985. Heavy Metal is making a come back though. =)

QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali has confirmed the passing of the group's singer, Kevin DuBrow, at the age of 52. In an e-mail to Spain's The Metal Circus, which had requested a comment from Banali on the rumors of DuBrow's death, the drummer wrote, "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend Kevin DuBrow." UPDATE: The same statement can now be found on Frankie Banali's official web site.

Michael Politz of The Vegas Eye reported earlier today that DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday, November 25. (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=85558)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . not as good as I remember it being. Pretty awful, to be honest.

You know how, when you were a teenager, and you were listening to rock through the headphones... and you didn't realize you were sorta halfway singing along in that voice that people have when they can't hear themselves?

Yeah. I was sitting in my room with the door locked, listening to Quiet Riot. That sort of "headphones on singing voice" doesn't sound good when it's Quiet Riot. My mom pounded on the door REALLY REALLY loud. I took the headphones off, and answered the door. Mom had a crazy freaked out look and said, "I was about to knock the door down, because I thought you were having a seizure!":flush:
