I thought I heard that it was likely that it was an aeurysm or something along those lines. Very sad and very scary.

I always get skeeved out when I hear about a death like this. Something you don't see coming just scares the crap out of me.

That's funny, I feel the exact opposite.
Given the choice of a long, drawn out death or dying suddenly and unexpectedly it's not even close as to what I'd choose.
It's sad to see someone die so young, but I'd take it over a lingering malady that slowly destroys you and leaves you looking like a skeleton with skin.

My father died the way you described and it was painful. At the same time he died a friend of the family died very suddenly. I felt like I could come to terms with him dying knowing it was gonna happen for a while. Thats my own selfishness though. I'm sure he wanted it over fast.
