The Ghostbusters Game Is Finally Being Made! (http://www.ghostbustersgame.com/us/index.html)

Sierra games is reuniting the original cast of Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson for the voices along with a script written by Ackroyd and Ramis exclusively for this game that will merge the two movies together as well as a third "movie" of sorts based in the 90's with all new villians, monsters, and ghosts.

I was checking it out a little in the new Game Informer.
It looks pretty good graphically.

I think just finally getting to use the proton pack and traps is enough of a sell for me.

"The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions are being developed by Terminal Reality, makers of BloodRayne. Red Fly Studios, which is also working on Mushroom Men, is building versions for the Wii, PS2, and DS."

The PC,360 & PS3 versions look more "realistic", while the PS2Wii andDS versions have a more "cartoony" feel to them, but tell the same story and focus more on multi-player.

I'm really excited about this game, so I am bumping.

Not only is this a direct sequel to the first two movies, the game will have the WHOLE cast back from the movies, is written by Ray & Egon, and will have the FULL original orchestrated soundtrack with new songs.

Here is the trailer. You can replay scenes and parts from both the first two movies, and you play the role of a Fifth new ghostbuster.

They are considering this game to be the third sequel, but in game form. That is why Ray and Egon wrote the script, and they have been quoted again.

I have sad news for you. The game does not come out this month and does not have a publisher due to some sort of deal from EA I believe. I did see something yesterday that Atarai will be putting it out, but not until next year.

I can not wait till this comes out though!

Looks like the oft-delayed “Ghostbusters” game is back on again, but you’ll have another long wait yet before playing it. In an interview by a Dallas radio station (http://kotaku.com/5063454/dan-ackroyd-ghostbusters-picked-up-by-atari-still-a-year-away) Tuesday, “Ghostbusters” star Dan Aykroyd (http://www.thebluesmobile.com/) said game maker Atari was picking up development where Activision Blizzard left it this summer, however it’ll be a year before a playable version will appear.
Activision suddenly dropped production of a “Ghostbusters” game for seventh-generation consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 yet never explained why. At the time, the company already had released preview trailers, had discussed the project in gaming journals, and had announced a debut date — Oct. 31. (Odder still, the “official site” (http://www.ghostbustersgame.com/us/index.html) for the game is still maintained by Activision.)
Aykroyd was said to be closely involved with the game’s development from the beginning, but he did not explain Tuesday why production suddenly ceased or why another year was needed to conclude work.
