Nice to see the Cubs and Brewers continuing to build their teams from Cardinal cast offs.

If they need a second baseman, Adam Kennedy was released today.
Apparerntly they couldn't even work a trade for a minor league nobody.
So yeah, thank god they got Kahlil Greene or else this off-season would look like a total flop.

You can have Jeff Suppan back.

No, I'm serious on that one.

Yeah, but that would involve the Cards actually signing someone or making a trade.
They don't do either of those things anymore.

But with Suppan and Looper as your 1 and 2, the Brewers are sure to take it all this year.
C.C. who? Sheets what?

I'm pissed you guys got Greene. He sucked last year, but I'm still convinced that once he got out of the NL West he'd be pretty impressive.

Baseball Prospectus has released their projected rankings.

Some suprises to me would be the Red Sox and A's projected to win their division, the Phillies to finish third and the White Sox last.

I have no idea how this is projected, can anyone shed some light on it ?

I can see their RA for the Mets because of the improved bullpen....but scoring 34 more runs than last year? Seriously? I don't understand that justification at all.

And the Phillies giving up 76 more runs? Did they lose somebody?

Maybe they're going on Church being healthy and counting on Murphy to improve? They had to measure a Delgado decline into their numbers, I could totally see the Mets offense being a mess if Church is still not healthy and Delgado completely collapses from last year.

Nationals, Adam Dunn Reach Agreement
By Tim Dierkes [February 11 at 1:40pm CST]

According to Chico Harlan of the Washington Post, the Nationals agreed to a preliminary two-year deal with Adam Dunn. Nationals GM Jim Bowden drafted Dunn when he helmed the Reds back in 1998.

Yeah. I'm glad the rumors about him signing with the Astros were false.

Haha!

Adam Mikhailovich Dunn DOES sound a lot better (and less hayseedish) than Adam Troy Dunn

I'll settle for calling his home runs "Donkey Punches"

the final piece is in place dunn + dcab = 65 wins

Eh....we're for all intents and purposes an expansion franchise, at this point, I'll take whatever good news I can get

Selig considering punishing A-Rod (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3900961)

Punishing A-Rod would be one of the dumbest things Selig could do. You want more players to come forward and be clean, so you punish the guy that did come forward? That's great reasoning.

Although, maybe this is Selig's way of telling players to stop coming forward and making him look retarded.

Punishing Arod would be really fucking hypocritical.

Of course he doesn't want anyone else admitting shit. It just shows what a worthless commissioner he's been.

God, fuck Selig.

Brewers, you fucking suck even more ass for unleashing him.
