With the holiday season approaching gifts will be given and recieved. If you gave someone a winning scratch-off ticket and they won for sake of arguement $500,000 would you expect a kick-back? and if you won would you give that person the kick-back? I dont give lottery tix to anyone but family becuse i wouldnt know what to do. Damn money is evil:devil2:

What kind of a gift are lottery tickets? Seems kind white trash to me.
Yeah, if someone gave you a winning ticket, they deserve some sort of kickback or big ticket item.

white trash maybe but your in an office "grab-bag" with a $20 gift limit would you rather get a Toots Shore ashtray or $20 in lottery tix?

You could probably get 2 Toots ashtrays for $20. Yes, I'd rather have the lotto tix. I originally thought it was a gift for a family member, not a grab-bag or stocking stuffer type of thing.
I say 10% of post tax winnings should go to the giver. Finders fee.

"The" search was actually, "won the lottery".

i know. when you click the link it shows up. also, any time any of those words appear in the thread, it shows in red text. people use "the" fairly often it would seem.
