shes was unhappy. first she got angry at me. then she got all teary eyed. then she went back to her office to clean up her things. i sent my secretary to watch her. she claims shes going to see her lawyer. then she leaves and calls me and said that her lawyer told her that i have to give her a reason for the firing, i told her no i dont have to have a reason at all becuz MD is an employment at will state, meaning i could fire her becuz i dont like the weather that day and theres nothing she can do. i dont know if she can get unemployment but i doubt shes smart enough to do it anyways.

At a prior job I was told to fire an older guy who had been there for years, due to the fact that he had apparently been intoxicated on the job, but I wanted to speak to him first. The next day he had some kind of Diabetic attack and went blind (and on disability) he eventually recovered and stopped drinking. he never knew how close he was to being fired, and not having coverage.

The place I work now is a Union Shop, my Boss is liberal and lets people get away with murder. Then a few times we had to take back just awful workers cause the Union found that someone didn't dot an "i" on paperwork. That made me sick.
