Okay, we are talking books here. But what a novel! For any of you familiar with Ken Follett, (Eye of the needle, Key to Rebecca, the list is endless), he has just published a sequel to "Pillars of the Earth" that also took place in ancient england during the time of knights and kings. It takes place 200 years after his original story, "Pillars of the Earth", another epic. Look, I don't care if it ain't shakespeare as long as the characters are well written, and the layers and layers of plots and subplots hold my interest. Add to that a real grasp of what it was like to live back then, and a cracking good story of love, deceit, violence, and loyalty, and you have a book that will stay with you for quite a while. I am only at chapter 27, a little more than 1/4 of the way through, and it just keeps getting better and better. Check it out on amazon.com. and if you like it you are in luck, as you can also read the 1200 page prequel, "Pillars of the Earth" that was written around 1990. It would be great if somebody else that frequents this site is reading it. as ferrell says, check it ooooout.
