The only thing you can Insure with Q Rich is that the check will be over $1000

I did find it weird that when i called stern to ask about possible Garden playoff dates, He laughed at me and hung up, but Isaiah told me it was because i called too early and they don't even start doing that until April 1st. Caught the 4th quarter and overtime (which shouldn't have happened) tonight, and naturally the only guy showing any guts and guile on the court was David Lee (16 rebounds and another double/double)... but what I found really interesting was, after the game, he was interviewed on the court by Al Trautwig, and since the interview goes over the arena PA, he thanked the fans for coming out and still showing support at this point in the season, and was like "The way we've played this year, you could've easily stayed home"... it was pretty ballsy of him to basically say "Sorry we sucked, but thanks for sticking with us."
I hope if this team ever gets good, or at least is a contender, that Lee is part of it. I would hate to see him traded in an overhaul this off-season, cuz he's gone out there and played hard night in and night out, despite how unappealing playing for the Knicks is right now. And if this team becomes good he deserves to be a part of it.

The fight really really fucked them up. They were a contending team until then. They were going to be a really high seed and make a big run. The whole fight changed that franchise big time. Plus Bird had a big say in things there from 2000 and on. And we have learned from Ainge Machale, You do not hire ex Celtics to run your team. Walsh did a real good job making an awful team into a title contender in the 90's

It really doesnt matter who they bring in. They are so far behind the 8-ball in terms of salary cap and bad contracts that it wont be till after the 2010 season they will see some relief. I mean they gave Jerome James 5 mil/year to do nothing, or my favorite as a Wizards fan the Jared Jeffries signing
Unless Walsh can convince someone to take either Curry or Randolph things will be bad for a while. However, with Jamison a free agent this year if he leaves the Wizards who were reportedly interested in Randolph last year could be shipped to DC for a combo of Blatche, Nick Young and maybe another to make the salary work

I can't believe i am about to defend Dolen.. But here goes... Dolen gives a person who knows what he is doing every opportunity to do it. He does not meddle, and i have heard that from alot of people. And he never says no on spending. The problem is he doesn't know shit about basketball and listens to people and does not question. If you have a good basketball mind running things, Dolen is a good owner. He is an idiot but as far as allowing people to do their shit, he is very good. If Walsh comes in and cleans house and hires good basketball minds, then i think this team will be in good shape. No one praises Dolen for the Rangers turn around. But he let Sather and Reney do their shit, and they are good hockey minds so the team is in good shape from good prospects in the minors to a contending team. The Knicks can be the same if Walsh knows what he is doing.

that shit including allowing someone to cost him almost 12 million for sexually harrassing people and then butchering his team. HE IS A SHITTY OWNER. Sometimes you have to step in, like hmm, the last 7 years. Between Layden and Thomas, he shoulda been pesky and involved. Bill Simmons
Yes that is a joke. Though Id consider it, cause thats partly the way you need to run a team. Pretty much anyone Id want already works for someone, thats why guys available usually arent as good as people act. Im not in the poisition to make that hire, so I havent considered it enough. But it prob wouldnt be a guy who hasnt really done anything in years and once hired the problem im tryin to replace

Is Dolan a worse owner then Sterling with the Clippers? Or worse then the most hated man in baltimore Peter Angelos?
And sorry Snoogans Blatche is like 6'11 and young and up and coming so i guess the knicks wouldnt want him, same with Nick Young a young explosive shooting guard would not be able to help the knicks either. However, i think the Wizards could bring Harvey Grant out of retirement to sweeten the deal or maybe Darius Songalia

Also i gotta tell you guys it kills me a little each time you make fun of John Starks when the Wizards sucked in the late 80's and early 90's the Knicks were my favorite and i loved the passion that Starks played with, but I know he had that one bad game against Houston but come on time has passed even Boston is cheering for Buckner now, give Starks a break

and if he doesnt, Dolan still wont be a problem,a nd he still wont get fired. Walsh is gettin old now too. Its been a good 6 or 7 years since he was relevantly making most of the teams moves. Plus have you seen the list of his potentials for GM? BILLY FUCKIN KING ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The guy who once hired Isiah to even be mentioned with Billy King makes me hate the move already
Last time i checked, The Sixers are in pretty good shape good young players and not bad cap wise. And it is Bill Kings doing not Stafanski.

Some of the Billy King picks i dont get like Larry Hughes why draft a player who at the time was identical to Allen Iverson?
Players drafted next after Hughes - Dirk and Paul Pierce
Jiri Welch #16 after him Could have had Tayshaun Prince
Speedy Claxton #20 who at the time of the draft had a torn ACL - could have had Micheal Redd
But i will disagree with you on Iverson - he had to be traded for the betterment of both the 76ers and Iverson

I saw this on the SI mock draft oh joy for you knick fans
6 SF Danilo Gallinari Armani Jeans Milan (Italy) -- 6-9 221
If the Knicks don't trade this pick, they'll go for the best international player in the draft -- and it won't be because Mike D'Antoni used to play with Gallinari's father on the Italian championship clubs in Milan. It will be because Gallinari is a better prospect than 2006 No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani of Italy, he has been a 19-year-old leader of a Euroleague team and he has the athleticism, versatility and personality to succeed in New York.

It's lame that the NBA couldn't do "the right thing" and make sure the Knicks get the #1 or #2 pick.

Basically Randolph can still play offense and rebound. He would work ok on a team where he is the primary inside option and the team is good enough on D that he can be the one liability. problem is the Knicks have 10 defensive liabilities. Anyway I say Memphis cause Collins and Cardinal are just fuckin terrible, plus Chris Wallace is Chris Wallace. Im sure they have to take that offense and rebounding only giving up those 2 and taking on 3 years instead of their 1 and 2
And the knicks get a lot more cap space a bit sooner
