It took 5 years to get Isiah a team he could mold...now it will take us 10 years to recover from this! I used to really really love the knicks and I can say since he took over the team I havent been to a game.

Ok...I went to the Garden last night. It is disgusting. The team doesnt care, the staff doesnt care, The organization stinks and the Fans are made to pay for a horrible product. I left with 8 min left in the game...when they just rolled over. I cant understand why the Knicks havent tried to save the season. I think its too late now. No need to fire Isiah now cause the Team wont respond to anyone. This team needs to be taken apart and rebuilt. As much as I like Balkman and Lee...no one is untouchable....plus I dont think we can trade anyone. No one wants anyone we have because of the horrible deals we signed these players too.

We are a long long way off from the playoffs none the less a championship!

I agree with everything you say. The team is unwatchable and will be this way for a long time. It is beyond me how Isiah keeps his job and the team doesn't head in another direction. They are NOT a good team and they continue to do what makes them lose. They need to rebuild. Accept that they will have two or three losing seasons, get out of their terrible contracts and then they'll get good draft picks and be able to retool and stay under the cap. They should have done this 6 years ago. Instead, they will keep trading away their top picks, keep trading expiring contracts for new long-term deals and keep acquiring players passed their prime.

See this is where the problem lies, let Isaih coach out of this mess that he made, until the contracts run out, because as you say they will suck for probably the next 3 years with the situation the way it is, so what coach would want to come into this situation and then be able to stick it out for those 3 years while they restock. Unless they can trade some players there is no hope in sight, might as well let Isaih tarnish his rep even more and suffer through all of this

You can't beat the price of his sneakers. At least he's trying to give back to the community.

Maybe he'll dedicate the rest of this season or next to his dad. (He'll have some type of dream where his dad speaks to him about the fundamentals of basketball and stuff and it'll be a whole new Smartbury the Teambury)

But then again, maybe not.

Just 90 minutes before his New York Knicks dropped their fifth in a row Wednesday night, losing a 10-point decision to the Sacramento Kings (who were without Ron Artest, Kevin Martin and Mike Bibby) in a game that was never even close from the second quarter on, Thomas actually uttered the following statement:

"I believe one day we will win a championship here, and I believe a couple of these guys will be a part of that, and I believe I will be a part of that," Thomas said. "And as I sit here today, and people can laugh even more at me, but I'm hell-bent on getting this accomplished and making sure we get it done, and I'm not leaving until we get it done."

Crawford plays with passion. And the 1 game out of 7 he is on, he is awesome. When he isnt on, I give him some credit for still trying, but he still will shoot ANYTHING and its just awful. The rest just dont give a fuck from that list.

Lee is the best, Nate has improved alot, Jeffries, Rose have both been busting their ass. Balkman when he actually gets in plays great perimeter D. They would be way better losing those big money guys and not even picking anyone up.

the ideal way i would do it, unfortunately. Look, you have to give Miami some reason to do this deal. They arent going to just take our shit for nothing. But, Miami did just take Mark Blount and Ricki Davis. So they arent geniuses. Maybe you could swing this, and yea, you have to give up Lee.

Miami takes:
Marbury 2 years left at basically 20 mill per
Curry - to replace shaq for much cheaper
David Lee- so they actually have a reason to think about this. I looked at everyone, possible nate or balkman, and I dont see anyone else they would want.

Knicks get:
Shaq- 20 mill per, smae as steph, but an extra year, and actually way more then the 9 curry gets
Jason Williams- They are trading Marbury, so you would have to take some guard back. Williams makes the most sense cause I have heard they dont like him, and his contract expires at the end of this year. You could also replace him with Ricki Davis, who is awwful, but is also up at the end of this year.
You get shaq for the same years you woulda had curry for about double, but a move to where he was born and the big city may spark him to get in some type of shape like when he went to Miami. It wont help us win in the playoffs, but you got rid of marbury and curry, totalling more then shaq, plus the other guy you take is gone after this year

its so sad. In my head i just rebuilt this team in 2 years.
Do that deal with shaq. You would end up after guy come off at the end of the year

we would have shaq for 2 more years after this
balkman, chandler, collins, James, nate and rose for next year only
crawford jeffries and ranolph for 3 more years
Quentin for 2 more years

with just those guys the payroll would be:
under 70 mill, its around 90 right now and was 124 last year
then after next season, you have around 15 mill coming off, plus 28 mill in what will be expiring year contracts to use for a possible sign and trade of one of the big stars thats gonna be up, kobe, Bron, a couple others and a couple solid guys to fill the other spots. Plus, with the other money that came off, you would have crawford, jeffries and randolph with 2 years left. You could end up with a pretty good fucking team for the year after next season, or go with a 3 year plan and end up with about 17-22 mill in cap room depending on where and how you draft, and some good young talent from the next 2 or 3 drafts.

But thats just if I ran the team

At $10 million a year.

perfect, maybe to a 6 yr guaranteed contract

The Dolans should concentrate in their cable gig, and hire a sports person to run their teams, someone above a GM

At $10 million a year.

we would have to trade for Shaq, at his current salary. Which is 20 million a year for 2 more seasons after this one
