While driving today, I noticed my windshield fogging up. I looked down, and I had turned on the heater/defrost sub-consciously because I was getting cold. It wasn't as though I had forgotten that I did it; it had occured seconds before I noticed. This has happened a few times recently. Is it just a symptom of getting older? I'm thinking that after driving for 15 years my sub-conscious brain is taking over the HVAC duties while driving.
Anyone else notice things like this, or am I developing a split personality?

no, your not wierd.
certain things just become 2nd nature, and you do them without thinking about it.
best example is breathing. you never think about it or realize it until 1 nostril is clogged.
then you find out how often you inhale/exhale.
another example is masturbation.......

Well we are born with breathing being a sub-conscious routine. It just seems odd that we would be able to aquire new routines for inconsequential things.

i know exactly what you mean. sometimes when im just walking down the same street i do every day, ill look down and suddenly realize im exposing myself to innocent bystanders...then i think to myself..." in war, the first casuality is innocence"...and i just keep on exposing!
