Darko is up after this season. QRich had another year at like 8 mill, so it cleared 8 more for next offseason

Ok.

So that brings our total salary for 2011 to a grand total of 6 million.

We better have the eastern conference all star team in two years.

Kidd's gonna end up back in Dallas. He is just using the Knicks.

Celtics hot for Sheed. I think that's a good fit.

Cavs focusing on resigning Varejao. I guess they didn't watch the conference finals cuz he got exposed. I know LeBron loves him so you have to keep him happy but they will overpay for him.

Pistons all over Gordon

hammersavage

Gordon and Villanueva are Pistons. That makes them pretty interesting. I'll see who they get as their new coach.

Clippers trade Randolph for QRich. Ex-Knicks just getting moved all over. Opens a spot for Blake Griffin.

Ariza looks like he's leaving the Lakers. Would be a big loss for them. Cavs are hot for him. That would be a fantastic move for them.

Blazers looking at Turkoglu. Also a great move for them.

I also think Houston should go hard after Gortat, he can take Yao's place.

I feel like the Lakers caught lightning in a bottle with Ariza, he wasnt that good when he was on the Magic. I don't think he'll play as well next year wherever he goes, even if it is the Cavs.

I agree but I think he's still a valuable player. He can be a great complimentary piece on a team on the verge of a championship.

And he knows his value to the Lakers and so he won't take less money. But they can't get Odom and him unless he does.

He certainly does have value, but if he gets the mid-level exemption with the Cavs (which the Lakers are offering and he's offended by) I still think he'll be overpaid next year. Then again, who in the NBA isn't overpaid?

It does seem like a hard stance in Odom's direction then by L.A.

Yah, but they don't change and never have. In fact, one of my favs is in a HUGE playoff drought (Toronto/even though 1 of 4 teams to have an above .500 records over the past 4 years in the AL), another with no title (SD Chargers) and finally the last finishing just that in the Western Conf in 2008-09. I distinctly remember HHH being a Heat fan, and also latching on to plenty of teams AFTER they win. So again Udog, good point. I've liked ever team of mine since I can remember, one being at their very start, another very close.

LeBron might be staying in Cleveland:

The Cleveland Cavaliers got some bad news followed by some potentially terrific news on Sunday. In a last-ditch effort to recruit Trevor Ariza away from the Houston Rockets, LeBron James told Ariza he would remain with the Cavaliers past 2010, according to a person close to Ariza.

Even that wasn't enough to get Ariza, who verbally committed to join the Rockets last Thursday, to change his mind and go to Cleveland.

But the Cavaliers will gladly settle for the consolation prize; if indeed James' statement to Ariza was more than an empty sales pitch.

"Trevor asked LeBron if he would be in Cleveland after next season," the source said. "And LeBron said, 'I'll be there. Of course, I'll be there.'"

Yea, its not really the case. Its not like baseball where you can get NY in and get a ton more from them or your team.. Cleve can give him more than another team in the sport.

its not really leverage, its interest. the nba just lowered their cap for next season and are projecting an even larger decrease for that summer when bron wade and those guys go free. if theres less money available around the league and you know you arent gonna chase that top free agent, then you can allocate your money to the most important pieces of your team

Michael Beasley checks into rehab.

Miami Heat forward Michael Beasley has entered a rehabilitation hospital in Houston to address possible substance and psychological issues, Yahoo! Sports reported Monday.

Beasley, who began his NBA career with a $50,000 fine stemming from an incident at the league's annual rookie symposium, checked into an unidentified facility in Houston this past weekend, the report said, citing multiple unnamed sources.

Yeah, any "outrage" is just an attempt to manufacture a story. It was Jordan being Jordan. He was an arrogant ass all along, so what did people expect him to be when the spotlight was turned to him once again? He thanked a bunch of people, went a little blue, talked about his family and that was about it. Really, the only person he burned was Jerry Krause, and that fuck deserved every bit of it.
