I did a few puzzles over the span of a year, but lately, I've been doing them everyday. Anyone else hooked?

About a year ago, I got to a point where I was doing a few dozen of these a day. Now I can't stand them.

i hate them. there is no algorithm to solve them so it is basically brute force guess and check.

It goes in waves. When I got Brain Age for the DS, I did every puzzle available over the course of a month or two. I didn't do it again until I downloaded a sudoku program for my blackberry and quickly did all of the puzzles available.

Actually, there is more of a method than you think. Unless it's a really difficult puzzle, I rarely take a wild stab at an answer.

completely addicted, I bought an old gameboy specifically for the purpose of doing sudoku on it.

It's still brute force, but I never guess. I only make a note if I can limt a number between two cells. Then it's just continually rechecking each number to see if I can put it somewhere.

I never guess. I've solved "insane" ones, but only if I can note in each square the numbers that could go there, and go from there. If you can do that, then I think any puzzle may be solved, although it may take awhile.

That's how I do it as well.

Unless you've got a incredible mathematical mind, I think it's the only way to solve some of these puzzles So I wont play an online version unless it allows you to take notes.

Luckily the iTunes version on my iPod does allow it so I usually play it on there.

I'll do them every now and then during work. It makes time go by and I can usually figure them out if I'm patient enough.
