You must set the ad_network_ads.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).

The stream servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes.

I got this error last night for like 30 minutes before I gave up trying to launch Team Fortress 2. I just tried it again a few minutes ago thinking that the servers would not be so busy now but I still get the same error. Anyone else seen this one? Is there something FUBAR in my setup that is giving me this error?

You are using the wrong program. I don't know what this stream is, but Steam is the program you are supposed to use.

Reboot seems to have taken care of the problem. I just launched the program again and now it is downloading some updates.
