Maplestory...anybody playing this?

So I saw those bizarre commercials that they're running on TV for Maplestory.com, checked out the website and found out that it's a free MMORPG. Being the cheap bastard I am I gave it a shot and I've been playing for two weeks now. I've never played WOW or Everquest, but I'm sure they much more fun than Maplestory, but there's still something amusing about Maplestory. It's only 2D and you pretty much just go around killing things, collecting things, and levelling up.

Any other RF.netters playing?

I tried it for a week and never want to go back.

It's a horrible HORRIBLE Korean grind fest that requires you to kill one billion slimes just to advance a level. It's also populated by a bunch of sucktards who seem to be about 13 years old. The graphics are cute and happy but that does not make up for the hours of mind numbing repetition needed to get anything done.

I was bored one afternoon and d/l it, played it for about 2 hours, got bored, then deleted it, nothing made me want to play more, ive never played WOW or everquest either.

My kid had a hard addiction to it. We made him stop cold turkey for 2 or 3 weeks. He played for and hour Sunday and an hour 1/2 yesterday.

i played it for a bit to check it out (because my nephew in taiwan was playing it), i do like the style but it gets really boring, not much fun once you get up in levels, nothing new, just grind away...

Just play WoW. It is much better than Maplestory and lots of rfnetters on it. I have a moderate addiction to it.

Yeah, I have several years of WoW under my belt, just cant seem to get over the hump though. I'm always lagging behind because I can't get into the 'Lets meet every night from 8pm to Midnight' thing.

I dont even do the instances. I like playing the battlegrounds and making people cry with my awesome pwning skills.

I'm also on a roleplaying server, so I do alot of that too. My guild has a bar, and I tend bar there and sing offensive songs. Yes, I know I'm a loser.
