REcently, it is taking forever to launch IE on my home computer (XP)
a little background. I let Mcafee virus protection expire,(Still have spybot, search and destroy) I installed Verizon anti virus suitem (I know probably not the greatest, but it works fine for us) I ran a diagnostic utilty looking for conflicting programs, and it came up with none. I think having spybot, as well as verizon is making it go slower, but I'm not sure.
I think I should delete spybot and see what happens. ANy one have any other ideas,
I trust youse guys opinions here. ( Only in this thread !!!)

Don't get rid of Spybot. Just disable it at startup. I have WINPATROL (http://www.winpatrol.com/download.html)
running at startup. It warns you when new programs want to run in your startup, and lets you decide if they should. It's also easy to use it to pick and choose what's already there.
