How long after you see a movie do you have to wait before you put it in your all-time favorites list?

It depends. I usually wait until after I've seen it a few times, and any initial hype about it has died down. Fight Club is probably the best example of that. Sometimes though, like with "Before Sunset", I just love it so much the first time, I'll add it to the list.

Nooo. I waited a few years to put it on, and it's never coming off. You're right, though. It just kept getting better each time I watched it.

I think it needs to have been out on dvd for like a year, so thats a year and a half to two years after theatrical release. Movies that people get really excited about are most prone to not holding up; lest we for get that American Beauty won best fucking picture. They shouldnt even have award shows for shit that came out that year.

Now this is some bullshit right here. Throwing up an obviously wayyyyyyy-leading post and then just walking away from the follow-through. :banning::banning::banning::banning::banning:

I'll admit that Into the Wild was the inspiration behind this post but I have had this happen many times in the past where I will leave a movie, excuse me...film, and for the next few days think it was the best I've ever seen but it usually doesn't hold up.

Transformers is one of the best movies ever made.
