as a poor college kid many, many years ago, i offered to shave my head for $100. i was dead serious and my friends were all for it, but could not scrape up the money. for some reason i thought of that today. it would probably take $1,000 to $2,000 for me to do it today.

my question to you, how much would someone have to pay you to shave your head?

I'd probably do it for $500. I've had buzz cuts before, so shaving all the way down wouldn't be too different. Plus, you can get away with having a shaved head at work. A mohawk would be a different story.

I don't think I could do it. It's not the head shaving itself. It's only hair anyway. It's just that I'd have to explain to people that I shaved my head to get money from an internet message board populated by fans of radio show.

mutter something like "it's a medical issue" and people will let you be. and that's only IF people actually asked you for fear that it actually was a medical issue.

Mine is slowly falling out for free but I'd be glad to have it sponsored.

http://www.stbaldricks.org/# (St Baldrick's)

This is a fund & awareness raising outfit that is a little more established than the one Fez shaved his hair for (even after winning a bet) a few years ago. I've sponsored some haircuts in the past and would join in myself if somebody close to me chose to get involved because of the Big Casino.

Some fucking maniac just paid $100,000 for among other things; a lock of Che Guevera's hair in Texas and 'Che' was a murderous thug.

I'd shave my head for $100,001

I'd do it for about $200. I need the money for Christmas presents. Plus, I apparently have a birthmark conveniently placed on top of my head (covered by hair), so if its shaved then it'll be showing. At least I have my Wendy's Whig for Halloween to cover it up.

Fuck that shit. I really like my long hair, I get good shampoo and conditioner for it, I try to keep it somewhat neat.

My family doesn't go bald, but hair thins over time. I'm gonna enjoy my full hear of hair while I can.

Plus, I don't think I would have started a shower thread with short hair.

Since I spend about $85/month on my dreads, I'm gonna have to go with $5,000. That should cover the lost time, and a couple of years to grow them back.

50k +

i really like my hair especially since it took me a really really long time to get it all healthy again. i love the color & i love my grey rogue streak. plus with the 50K i'd be able to pay off my car & then some. so i really would be getting something out of the torment.
