one job had employee of the quarter. i was nominated and lost once and won it another time. $500! before i started working there i knew people there and one lady won and paid for a night of drinking at the local pub. i did the same with my winnings and paid for a night of drinking for the 6 or 8 people i hung out with from there. came to like $150 including a nice tip (they tended to comp us a lot there as well).

I got the highest yearly eval of any employee at one of my old jobs and was supposed to get a $500 bonus (big money for the cheap state gov't). But the new boss of the division changed something up and ended up giving the money to one of her lackeys.
