I don't feel that kind of passion to do a role and be great coming from those guys, because if it was there, they would do it! I mean, they're all in a position to do it.

I think it's fair to say they've all been coasting except Jack. The guy's 70, and he hasn't done a lot of movies the last 10 years but he's done some quality roles. About Schmidt was as good a performance as anyone's done in 10 years.

of course all these guys are rich and fat and living on their laurals

but they still have lots of potential.....
Pacino has a Salvador Dali Bio coming up and that could be fun
Deniro has a heavy slate of upcoming films so one of them could be good
Nicholson has cut back to about one film a year but he's usually good...sometimes great
Coppola is actually finally coming out of a self imposed retirement with two very promising projects which probably prompted him to stir the shit
