It's that time of year again.
"Rudolph" rocks, and "March Of The Wooden Soldiers" is probably my favorite.
Oh yeah, that annual "Kathie Lee Special" is incredible! ;)

I've always enjoyed a Charlie Brown Christmas, with that stupid little tree, and A Garfield Christmas, with their story - Binky, the Clown who saved christmas.
Special Fav. - The Grinch who stole christmas (Animated, of course)

Family Ties :
A Keaton Christmas Carol
A cynical Alex finds the spirit of Christmas in a dream, when he's shown shocking visions of the past and future by ghosts of Mallory and Jennifer.
While the family enjoys trimming the tree, singing carols and taking pictures, Alex would rather listen to stock reports and finds Christmas "a silly sentimental farce" - except for the commercialism. That evening, when he drifts off to sleep, Jennifer - The Ghost of Christmas Past - takes him back ten years to a scene in the Keaton living room and a time when young Alex loved Christmas. Next, the Ghost of Christmas Future - Mallory - appears and transports Alex 15 years ahead in time. The impoverished Keaton household is a sorry sight, visited by a rich fat cat on his way to Las Vegas - the future Alex.

I have not seen that Emmet Otter Juke Band special in years...anyone know where the hell you can find it?? I also loved that skit from MAD TV a few years back where it was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer meets goodfellas. And we meet Don Cornellio whacking all the elves...what a great bit.

How about the legendary, rarely viewed "Star Wars Christmas Special" featuring all of the original actors (including a visibly coked-up Carrie Fisher & a bored Harrison Ford) singing horrible holiday songs? This abomination also featured cameos by Bea Arthur and Art Carney.
Truly awful.

March of the Wooden Soldiers and a Garfield Christmas has to be at the top.
I also liked those Simpson Christmas deals like the debut of Santa's Little Helper except the "accidental" burning of the Christmas tree. That just made me sad.

With all due respct to Charlie Brown and even Frosty, the best of the bunch is "The Year Without A Santa Clause."
Sure, when little Karen cries because Frosty has melted, even though I know Santa will soon tell her how Frosty is made of magic x-mas snow and will come right back to life at the very 1st kiss of winter's wind, well, I get more than a little faklempt, but Snowmiser & Heatmiser still take the cake.
For the uninitiated, you can catch it on ABC's Family Channel on the following date & times:
Tuesday, 18 10:00 PM
Saturday, 22 7:00 PM
Monday, 24 1:00 PM
Monday, 24 9:00 PM

I have been a sucker for A Christmas Story for the Holidays. I guess secretly I wanted an official Red Rider carbine action 200 shot range model air rifle.

Poison Ivy & Jester are my 2 new favorite people on the board. CHristmas story is by far the best christmas movie/show ever. Youll shoot your eye out!
I also like that Rudolph show where he goes to the island of misfit toys with freddy the elf who wants to be a dentist.

A Christmas Story hands down is the best.
I am still a fan of National Lampoons Christmas vacation.
Unfortunately I usually miss all the X-mas special cause I am out getting drunk with family or friends.
