A week ago, it was 82 degrees and I was barbequeing. Tonight, my radiator is on for the first time of the season. And it's that nasty dusty-ass smell that comes out of your radiator its first time on. I guess now you can OFFICIALLY declare summer dead.

Also, another telltale sign: The toilet seat is cold.

I actually broke down and put it on for a while. It is going down to 40 tonight. I changed the filter and sprayed it with that filter whole house freshener. Smells pretty good at the Château de Tub!

I'm an apartment dweller, so I have no control of the radiator. It comes on when the super sees fit.

And yes, I am a wuss.

Down here in midatlantica it feels about three months behind...yeah...our world is totally fucked. I just hope I die before the global warming kills us all...or do I? Maybe it will be all a fun exciting adventure movie type scenario.

Woo hoo!!! I just remembered something I actually like about cold weather. I don't have to add more ice to my drink every 10 minutes.

It's the cold water touching my balls that clues me in.

I have a really small room. In the summer, my TV and computer monitor are enough to counteract the A/C. In colder weather, I can crack my window, and the room stays around 65 degrees.

Shit we had about 6 cm of snow Thanksgiving weekend and even though it melted the next day we have woken up to frost covered everything all week....winter is officially here in the great white north!
Sucks in a way because I never did get my garden ready for winter....gonna have a mess to clean up come spring.

Not looking forward to having the radiator in my place come back on.
It takes at least 2 weeks to get used to the noise!
It's that old steam heat and I live in a duplex so you hear the banging of the radiators first downstairs and then I get the cowbell solo upstairs like 5 minutes later!
Oh...and once they are up and running there are only two temperatures in the house; ice or fire.
Bah!

Love,
-Joe:furious:

I hate this time of year, its getting colder. I rather take clothes off when its too hot then put them on when its too cold.

That's good when you can stay home. If it's too hot, you can walk around naked!

But, in the winter when you're out, you can always put on more clothes to stay warm. In the summer, you can walk outside naked and you'll still be hot.

Bring on the cold!
