I understand where this story takes place makes me a geek of some sort but not to the level of this guy.
Here's the story
So on sunday I'm at the comic book store and there is this guy wearing a Bumblebee t-shirt. He's talking about the Transformers Movie thats coming out on Dvd and how there are all these different versions of it. Then he starts talking about how he bought this new transformer toy and he already had it but this other toy is coming out so he can exchange it for that one. Then he talks about the new transformer tv show coming out. Then he talks about guys that do the voices and knows the guys that do the voices by name. Who knows or cares to know these guys by name??? So I guess what I'm saying is I can't believe people love transformers that much. I mean it was an ok movie but there are other things out there arent there?

Yea, they're out there. I loved them as much as any guy back in 1983 but they started coming out of toy chest once the movie got close to premiering. I guess they were always there, I just didn't know any personally.

And the movie wasn't that good.

A long, long time ago, before Ronfez.net, before internet porn, there was usenet, where you would flame each other in black and green LCD text, and I was subscribing to usenet groups, like alt.goth and alt.suicide-holiday, and I noticed that there was a transformers tv group and a transformers movie group, and each group had a note in the FAQ saying:

On THIS group, we ONLY discuss the Transformers (movie/TV show). If you want to discuss the (TV show/Movie), please go there instead.

Also, here's a picture of my brother and nephew.

I've never heard of Transformers nerds.

yeah, i didn't think transformers had the staying power to keep super devoted fans like star wars, star trek or marvel/dc geeks.

i mean, transformers were cool in 1984, but ofcourse i was 10.
