and you are aware that the yankees arent the ONLY way MLB makes money, If every team grew 14%, the total wouldnt necc grow 14 cause not all revenues were the same. The yankees grow less then the percentage most likely, cause they already make so much its hard to get huge percent even if its a big dollar increase. Plus revenue sharings and things like that. You just are insane
i see your point, but if every team grew 14%, then absolutely the total would grow 14%.

not necc. Cuase 14 % of the yankees is a hell of alot more then 14% of smaller clubs.
say yanks make 200 mill. 14% is 28 mill. If another team makes 50 mill, a 14% increase is only 7 mill. So that would throw off the % of the whole. It may end up being more, im not sayin it wont be at least 14. Im sayin it probably wouldnt be exactly 14

and 14% of $250m is $35m. the whole has also gone up 14%.

yes, but the teams arent 100% of the revenue. You would also have to assume all other MLB revenue they make on their own goes up 14%. Its not just on the team alone, esp since they share, which is why you cant just say the league went up 14 all teams did.
Snoogans

the MLB aside from teams doesnt make money, It only spends it. So if every team went up 14% it would prob raise the league total less then 14% cause of the money spent not by teams

its a moot point anyway, cause the teams dont all go up and arent all worth the same. So a 2% increase for one team may be a 55% for another. Basically you cant just use those numbers as a model for one part of the whole or what will happen

no my math wasnt wron, you are just assuming the only income and revenue comes from teams. If that was the case, then it would be right. If all teams went up 14%, the league as a whole would ONLY if the teams themselves were the only thing invloved in money. they arent, so no, it isnt the case. If the teams go up 14%, the league wont. Thats true. Maybe I wasnt totally clear but its how it is
Snoogans
12-16-2007, 06:23 PM
you are viewing it as if mlb revenue is the total of the 30 teams and thats it. Its way more things then that, so the teams arent the whole, so their 14% wont reflect as 14% of the whole
therefore if all MLB teams revenue increased 14%, the league itself would not go up exactly 14%

assuming the MLB was making the schedule, why would they intentionally shit on the best thing they have. The yankees make them more money then any other team. The other teams and fans may hate the yankees, but you are insane if you think the MLB management does anything other then LOVE your team. They would not intentionally shit on them no matter what, especially in the middle of the steroids thing. Like they gave a fuck about who played who on opening day at Fenway Park

Opening in Fenway is fine. Doesnt bother me. It should bother the team enough to win so they dont have to go through it again for the second time in four years.
Now if they wanted to do something cool. The final game of the year should be Redsox Yankees in Yankee Stadium! Send the old place out with a bang instead of Baltimore!

Melky Held Out Of Winter Ball? (http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/)
Peter Abraham noted yesterday that Melky Cabrera was set to play winter ball. However, it seems that the Yankees have changed their mind and won't let Cabrera play this year.
There is a "fatigue clause," where if a player played a certain amount during the regular season the player cannot participate in winter ball. It seems that typically teams lift this clause and allow players to join the winter leagues, but this year they refused to lift the clause for Cabrera. The implication is that Cabrera is a trade candidate, perhaps in a Johan Santana deal.
Sounds like they are still hopeful to land Santana.

I like the schedule, besides the whole not ending the year in the Bronx deal. I get to see the Yanks down in Tampa in April, May and September. Plus their last two spring training games this year will be played less then 10 minutes from my place in Miami, so I get them there as well.

Interesting non-tender
(http://www.nomaas.org/)
Here's the list (http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20071212&content_id=2324311&vkey=hotstove2007&fext=.jsp&partnered=rss_mlb) and one particular non-tender caught our eye.
Everyone knows about Mark Prior, so we won't repeat.
Morgan Ensberg: (http://www.baseball-reference.com/e/ensbemo01.shtml) Career 116 OPS+, draws BBs, and sees lots of pitches; averaging 3.92 per plate appearance over his career. That #P/PA rate is better than the career rates of Johnny Damon, Jorge Posada, and Derek Jeter. Ensberg had a poor 2007 season, but could be a great addition for the bench. Buy low.
Wow, that is an interesting one. As a career 3B who's played a little 1B you could use him if Duncan flops. His numbers (http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/bsplit.cgi?n1=ensbemo01) are good vs lefties, which is a perfect fit for the Yanks.

There's just no place for him though. A-Rod is at third and they have 19 million first basemen.

Just another guy to throw into the Yankee 1B mix (http://yankees.lhblogs.com/) according to Peter Abraham. He had a good winter league showing.
Answer: Get 25 Yankees fans in a room and all 25 will have a different guy at first base. I have heard no talk of Sweeney and I don’t expect to hear any. He has been banged up physically for several years and the Yankees seem more interested in getting younger, not older. Here’s your first baseman on Aug. 1: Juan Miranda.
Another guy who kills lefties. Somebody's going to stick over there. But then again, I said that last year.

Yeah, I know. But as a non tender he's a low risk insurance plan. Maybe you give him some good money on a minor league contract and see if he goes for it.
I could see us kicking ourselves in May if Duncan flops and Giambi is on the DL (as usual).

Buster Onley reports Joba likely to start season in bullpen (http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=olney_buster&entryDate=20071221&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fesp n%2fblog%2findex%3fname%3dolney_buster%26entryDate %3d20071221)
Heard this: If all goes well in spring training for the Yankees, Joba Chamberlain is likely to start next season in the Yankees' bullpen, as part of the team's effort to limit his innings. Chamberlain will go to spring training and, at the outset, prepare to pitch out of the rotation, along with five other rotation candidates: Chien-Ming Wang, Andy Pettitte, Phil Hughes, Mike Mussina and Ian Kennedy. Assuming that none of the other five has a physical or performance breakdown, Chamberlain would then open 2008 in the bullpen, as a set-up man, for at least the start of the season -- under the Joba Rules.
The Yankees want to restrict the number of innings Chamberlain throws, and working him out of the bullpen for at least a couple of months will allow them to do that. Chamberlain may return to the rotation sometime in the middle of the season, depending on the Yankees' needs.

Now Joba’s starting (http://riveraveblues.com/)
Despite what Buster Olney hears, Kat O’Brien says (http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/blog/2007/12/preholiday_thoughts.html) that “several people within the Yankee organization” told her that Joba will be in the starting rotation come April. At this point, we’ve heard so much back-and-forth on this issue that neither outcome will be much of a surprise
To be honest I'm kinda on the fence about this one. I know that you'd rather have a good pitcher throw 200 innings instead of 80, but it can also be argued that a big time setup man or closer can be used judiciously to get key outs, ones that can kill a game changing rally and win or lose a ballgame. You use your regular set up guys in the 6th 7th and 8th and if one gets in trouble you bring in Joba to save the day. Both starting him and making him the setup guy makes sense. Notice how Paps has yet to be put into the Red Sox rotation, despite the fact its better for his health. Using a player situationally like that is hard to boil down to a stat, but we all scream for a go-to guy when a game is on the brink. And at Mo's age, you can't expect him to be bailing you anymore out like he used to.
Given the Yanks already have 6 starters going into the season, they have to figure out something. I'm fine with it either way. Its a good problem to have.

Yankees Done With Santana?
Newsday's Kat O'Brien recently spoke to a source with knowledge of the Yankees' talks with the Twins for Johan Santana. According to the source:
"I don't see it happening with us. We pulled out in Nashville, and we haven't put an offer back on the table."
O'Brien always has Hank Steinbrenner's ear, and Hank was noncommittal this time when asked about the Yanks' chances. It sounds like the Yankees would need to crack and put Ian Kennedy into the deal, which just doesn't seem wise. They'd be better off just calling off the whole thing, and it sounds like that's the likely path.
Maybe we sign him next year, or make a cheaper deal at the deadline. But Kennedy and Hughes is fucking ridiculous.

Damn! Mike Mussina is worth less than the slaves! At least they were 3/5 of a human being.
As a 5th starter, I can live with Moose. Though I'd rather have someone who eats more innings than him. With so much of the rotation being young, you don't want the bullpen getting overtaxed. Hughes, Kennedy and Joba will get pulled early on a regular basis to keep their innings down to around 160. So you'd like a guy who can give the bullpen a day off every 5th day. But Wang and Pettite both go deep into games when they're on, so its not the end of the world.

here you go fools, courtesy of Abraham:
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the blog; not a creature was stirring, readers were agog
The pinstripes were hung by the chimney for real, in hopes that Brian Cashman should soon make a deal.
The fans were nested, all snug in their beds. While visions of Santana danced in their heads.
Suzyn Waldman in her kerchief and John Sterling in his cap, had just settled down after one final nightcap.
When out on the field there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the press box to see what was the matter.
Away to the clubhouse, I flew like a loony. Tore open the door and knocked over Brian Bruney.
The moon on the breast of the new Bronx snow gave a lustre of mid-day to Wang and Cano.
When what did my wondering eyes then see, but a roomful of players under 30.
With a new manager, bright so they say. Who would NoMaas blame for losses in May?
More rapid than Damon, his prospects they came. He whistled and shouted and called them by name.
Now Hughes, now Joba, now Kennedy and Melky. On Tabata, on Horne and you too, Cervelli.
To the top of the short porch, to the top of the wall. Dash away, dash away, dash away Giambi!
Up to the new stadium, the prospects they flew. With a sleigh full of toys and Joe Girardi too.
And then in a twinkling, I heard something screwy. But not to worry, it was only Matsui.
As I picked up my pen and was turning around, down the chimney Shelley Duncan came with a bound.
Farnsworth was dressed all in furs, from deers he had shot. If only his fastball were nearly as hot.
A bundle of jewels, Jeter had were quite shiny. He would give them out later, to models in Miami.
A-Rod’s eyes, how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry. Boras in Cali would see not a penny!
Hank’s droll little mouth was drawn tight with a smoke. He had just called all the writers to tell them a joke.
The control of the team, he liked it just fine. Don’t tell his brother or his father, Big Stein,
Andy’s sad face was a grim sight to see. He had used HGH, but just once don’t you see?
Girardi was there, laptop on a shelf. I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of my eye – or was it a tear? I knew right away Torre wasn’t here
He spoke not a word and went straight to his work He filled out his lineup and called Schilling a jerk.
And laying a finger aside his short hair, he went to the field with nary a care.
He sprang to the dugout, to his team gave a whistle. And away they all flew to another East title.
But I heard his exclaim as he headed away. Pitchers and catchers in 51 more days!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Joba’s going to the pen (http://riveraveblues.com/2007/12/25/its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like-jobas-going-to-the-pen-1889/)
Kat O’Brien sure is full of conflicting information these days, and it all relates back to that ace in the hole from Nebraska that the Yankees hold.
To recap: At the end of last week, Buster Olney heard that Joba would head to the pen. Then, Newsday’s Kat O’Brien reported that sources within the Yankee organization said that Joba is expected to be in the started rotation. The back and forth continued when O’Brien issued a report that, when you think about it, basically supports Olney’s unsourced report and contradicts O’Brien’s own sources.
On Sunday, O’Brien reported that the three Yankee rookies would battle for two rotation spots during Spring Training. She writes:
One of the concerns for the Yankees as they prepare for 2008 - particularly if they don’t reverse course and nab Johan Santana - is keeping a handle on the innings totals of young pitchers Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy.
The plan is for the three to compete for two spots in the starting rotation in spring training, with Chien-Ming Wang, Andy Pettitte and Mike Mussina likely to fill the other three rotation slots. But not one of the young trio was at or near the 200-inning mark in 2007. That means it will require careful watch to keep them in the rotation (if they earn it) without raising their innings an alarming amount.
According to Yanks GM Brian Cashman, all three of the youngsters will have innings caps, and the Yanks will be creative in their efforts at ensuring that these pitchers do not exceed their innings limits. While O’Brien once again reiterates the Yankee party line concerning Joba’s spot in the rotation, isn’t it obvious how this will shake down?
Chamberlain, Kennedy and Hughes will all pitch rather impressively during Spring Training, and Cashman and Girardi will have to make “a tough choice.” With Mike Mussina somehow guaranteed a spot in the rotation, the Yanks will be “forced” to do what’s best for the team, and Joba will head to the bullpen.
Right now, I don’t buy the line that Joba’s ticketed to the rotation. There are too many convenient excuses in place for the Yanks to use in order to move Joba to the pen. And for the first part of the season, that might not be a terrible move.
Again, I have no problem with this. Its also not written in stone, somebody gets hurt or Mussina is ineffective and he's right back in the rotation. He'll prepare for the season as a starter, and then you can use him either way as the situation dictates.
Also, don't scream about Hughes and Kennedy if they're pitching well and are automatically pulled out in the 6th inning or at 100 pitches. That is part of the plan going in, and will not change.

ya gotta be careful with your young pitchers and pitch counts are an essential element.

BA’s Top 10 Yankee Prospects (http://riveraveblues.com/2007/12/27/bas-top-10-yankee-prospects-1898/)
1. Joba Chamberlain
2. Austin Jackson
3. Jose Tabata
4. Ian Kennedy
5. Alan Horne
6. Jesus Montero
7. Jeff Marquez
8. Brett Gardner (left)
9. Ross Ohlendorf
10. Andrew Brackman
Some surprises for me. I didn't think Action Jackson would be ranked so high (although I'm sure HHH is pleased) and I would think Betances would be somewhere on the list. Brackman has yet to throw a pitch for the Yankees farm system. I'm also pleased to see Gardner get some attention, I have a feeling we'll be seeing him at some point this year if any of the outfielders get hurt. He's really really fast. Jose Reyes-fast. Ranks an 80 on the scouts 20-80 scale for speed. Could be great in CF and has a high OBP. Zero power, though.

Who is Yu Darvish? (http://yudarvish.blogspot.com/2006/07/who-is-yu-darvish.html)
The million dollar question is, "Who in the World is Yu Darvish?" This phenom has burst on the scene in Japan and is a marvel to behold on the mound. He lacks the polish and seasoning that a true star pitcher possesses, but it's important to keep in mind that we are talking about a 19 year old player that was rushed to the pros by a team looking to stake its identity among a field of more famous teams.
The next Dice-K bidding war candidate. There's already a report (http://eastwindupchronicle.com/?p=984) the Yanks are targeting him. He's still so young that you could see him fetching a big posting fee like Dice-K did. Or he could just be an overhyped player whose team is looking to pump him up and cash in.
BTW-This is what you call REAAAALLLLYYY scraping the bottom of the barrell for Yankee news on a boring day.

He cant do what Fudadome and Matsui did.. Which go outright FA.. But a team can decide to sell him like Dice K any time they want.. Dice K had like 3 more years of eligibility left. If they are a FA like Matsui and Fukadome.. The teams get shit from MLB..

The Yankees’ 2008 Schedule starts off very rough (http://mvn.com/mlb-yankees/2008/01/01/the-yankees-2008-schedule/#more-1988)
April: TOR, TB (4), kc, bos, tb (2), BOS (2), bal, chi, cle(4).
May : DET, SEA, CLE, det, tb (4), NYM, BAL, SEA, bal.
The Yankees early season schedule is nothing short of brutal. The last ever home opener at the current Yankee Stadium takes place on Opening Day, March 31st against the Blue Jays. After a nondescript first week, the Yankees embark upon their most difficult stretch of the season. They play 18 of 20 on the road, with the two home games being against Boston. The road trip ends with 4 games in Cleveland. Coming home will be no relief, as the Yankees then have 9 games at the Stadium against Detroit, Seattle, and Cleveland. The Yankees then go back on the road for Detroit and Tampa, and close this ridiculous run with 3 home dates versus the Mets.
Don't be surprised if the Yanks get off to another slow start next year. This time it will be the schedule, unlike last year. If they're a few games over in late May, they're doing fine.

They'll need to sweep at least 2 of those series to be in good shape. If they go 9-2 then play .500 for the 6 weeks after that, they're doing OK.

and just to project it. They start 9-2 and then go 500 for 6 weeks thats ok. So lets just extend the 500 for the season. Start 9-2, then go 500
you end up with a win total around 85 wins. You start 5-6 and do the same, you end up with 81 wins. Thats how little the first 11 games mean
yes I know or 80 wins, but using an odd number and projecting into an even number would give you decimals. And I can tell that certain people in this thread could never handle that

Well i guess its not enough to have the highest payroll and make tons of money but the yankees really do care for the fans as evidenced in the following:
The Yankees and hundreds of their VIPs will get free valet parking for the next 40 years, courtesy of New York taxpayers. The startling revelation of yet another subsidy for the richest team in baseball is buried deep in the fine print of a $237 million tax-exempt bond offering that city officials quietly issued the week before Christmas. The documents say a $70 million state subsidy for parking improvements for the new Yankee Stadium (slated to open next year) has been earmarked for a new 660-car valet parking garage where virtually all the spaces will be reserved for the free, year-round use of the Yankees and their VIPs.

Yankee fans can expect to pay a whopping $29 for stadium parking during home games starting in 2010 - more than twice last year's $14 rate.
Those who want valet service will pay $40 - a sharp increase over today's $30 rate.
Who cares. Stadium regulars know there are a bunch places near the stadium where you pay nothing. Some are safer than others, so you need to know your way around the area. The spots I use now I don't worry about at all and I've never had trouble finding a spot if I get there on time.
I wouldn't leave anything expensive in the car (just in case) if I was in one of the less safe areas. But the worst thing that ever happened to me at Yankee stadium was I found my window (and 10 others) was busted and some loose change was stolen. I got the window fixed the next day for $60. That would be 2 parking fees, and in all my years of going to the stadium its only happened once.

i guess if youre trying to justify it to yourself then thats cool and all, but i think its absolutely outrageous to charge $30 to park at ANY stadium. The Dolphins charge close to 30 bucks at their stadium and i think they'd be better off punching every male fan in the nuts on the way in. who wants to pay 30 bucks just to park? thats more expensive then a ticket in some cases. the florida panthers include parking in their ticket price, i think thats the best way to do things.

I'm ambivalent about the new place. Looks good, but I don't love it. The architechture seems pretty bland to me. Like they combined the old Yankee stadium with the current one. I was hoping they'd build more of a baseball cathedral. I have to see it in person to get a better feel for it, though.
All I do know is there are NO full season ticket packages available. NONE. I wanted to upgrade from a partial 20 game plan to a full season and they told me they've been sold out since the end of last season. They only have weekday packages, and I'd rather keep my 'pick a plan' than take that.

No you tarts, the issue here is that rich asshole athletes and management just got NY taxpayers to cover their personal parking and valet service, while the regular peeps get their rates doubled for the use of their tax dollars. And of course you don't care BDC, you defend anything the franchise does, says or wants unless it doesn't work after the fact. And just use that lil brain for once and realize that if the normal fees for parking go up at the stadium, the other lots will be able to price up as well, and will bc of it. Try and think for once, as opposed to defending even the most idiotic ventures of this asshole franchise. I'm sure using tax money for quite possibly the most lucrative sports franchise in the world (in the US no doubt) will make better sense as the looming recession comes crashing down.

MLB trade rumors
Santana will be a Red Sox. Baseball Prospectus is reporting (http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=6970) its "all but done".
The Yanks are now the underdog in the AL East. Will all you Yankee haters now turn your attention to the NEW Evil Empire? The team that wins year after year and takes high priced players they don't even need? Does anyone scream "competitive balance" when the Red Sox suck up all the best players?
Which is why I pay no attention to Yankee haters. THe only thing they are consistent about is hating the Yankees.
The latest from Hank the mad
Steinbrenner said the offer "does not include two of the three young pitchers" - Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy, from a group that also includes untouchable Joba Chamberlain — "but it's still the best one. And let's face it, we're the best able to handle the kind of contract (extension) Santana will be after." Steinbrenner would not divulge the Yanks' offer, but multiple reports have pegged it as Hughes, outfielder Melky Cabrera, pitching prospect Jeff Marquez and another prospect

Which is why I pay no attention to Yankee haters. THe only thing they are consistent about is hating the Yankees."
So wait, it's ok to hate the Sox now even though they are simply trying to keep pace (and didn't get JS either) and never have even been close to equal in pay at the major league level alone, never have had a front office that acts like a Steinbrenner, or have idiotic fanbase such as yourself?
Yet even if they (Boston) did take over, we "haters" should despise those sox as the "evil empire" and never should have hated the original source of the system?
So, did you never pay attention to the haters bc they were right, or are you right now and we should hate Boston and you were wrong before and our hate was in the right place until this day!? You're fucking retarded!!! Do we/did we have a point in the past with the yanks and their championships are bullshit and now we should hate the Sox? Or were we wrong to hate the "OLD" "evil empire" at the top of the pay scale and not hate the sox either bc the haters should never be paid attention and are/were always just haters with no points? Which is it BDC??? It's one or the other??
Oh wait, I got it, it's sour grapes and a fucking ugly baby act bc poor sufferring yankee fans didn't look like the landing place for the big prize Santana and you decided to cry even though you're probably still getting him and if in Boston the yanks would still have a much higher payroll. Imagine if you were a real fan and cheered on a team that can't constantly be in the hunt for almost EVERY big prospect/FA EVERY year. Imagine if their WAS competitive balance and there were more then 4 teams that could even come close to bidding for the same players as the yankees. Would you even follow the team? Would you even care after a few years like the Jays have just had?? I doubt it. You'd cry for a few years about how the league has been ruined as the rest of the country began to fall in love again with baseball and each team across the country had a true chance to win, even if in the yankee/sox division.
You killed every point you tried to make and never listened even though you passively admitted your team is the cancer of the league in terms of competitive balance, the overall product which is/should be MLB, and teams creating identities and having "hometown" players of old like the days of Schmidt, Brett and Yount to name a few. Fuck the yanks! I love being consistent versus your inclination towards stupidity, blind homerism and lack of any judgement whatsoever! :bye:

Here is what you're not getting.. People do not come here because they give a shit about the Yankees.. And yea, no one gives a shit about the Jays or the Cubs or who ever else, on this board.. But that is because ITS A NY FUCKING BOARD, for the most part.. How many Yankee threads do you get in fucking Chicago or Toronto.. As many as they get here.. The reason why this thread is so popular is because.. Like you.. Our team and our owner is a fucking laughing stock.. People do not want to hear you or hank talk because its some good shit.... Its because it is so fucking insanely stupid that its hysterical.. You should not be fucking posting Hank shit here.. Because to the sane Yankee fan, he irritates the shit out of us and gets us fucking Angry.. Don't you get it?? Our team spends the most fucking money by a WIDE margin and had fucking 22 guys on the Michell report.. And DO NOT give me the Redsox report excuse.. Its not the Sox or anyones fault that 2 NY guys where the stupid ones.. We have cheaters, and we spent the most AND STILL have not fucking won in 8 FUCKING YEARS... Yankees got talked about for the right reasons for a long time.. Now they only gets mentioned attached to embarrassing shit.. Don't you know how fucking insane you look when you post things from other message boards as fucking sources for Yankee rumors?? You fucking posted a Post from a random dude named Ben K.. on what he thinks the Yanks should do, as a fucking source.. Stop to think just once, about the shit you do.. Thanks, I appreciate it. I am just fed up with the team right now.. Hank is soon going to start hurting the team.. Because soon enough the Redsox won't even have to bother trying to jack up prices in trades.. GMS will hate Hank so much that they will not deal with us, unless they just really fleece us..That is what people like BDC are not getting.. The only guy in the front office who know anything about baseball (Cashman) Is probably going to leave because he can not take Hank fucking up his negotiations by making them public.. And what self respecting GM would? This is going to turn into the disaster that the YES network is.. No competent announcer will work there because, they are not free to say what they want and rip the Yankees when they deserve it.. Same with GMs. I am very worried about this franchise right now.. Sure our farm is stocked and we are doing (financially) as well as ever. But unless Hank settles down, i think we are in DEEP trouble.

:bye:

Ive spent months in here debating you, without insulting you. Yet rather then except it, you attack all of us as blind yankee haters when we know FAR MORE about baseball them you would know if you multiplied your knowledge by 50. Since you know you cant keep pace, you just attack us and blind hate. Thats why we started calling you stupid. Cause you cant accept that someone who isnt a Yankee fan actually might know a little something about the Yankees anyway. Just deal with it. Yankee fans arent the only people who watch or know about baseball, and usually, dont realistically know anything about baseball cause you just expect to buy players and win.
You also act like you are owed something. you seriously dont understand how you can come off like an asshole when you refer to your stadium as a "Cathedral of Baseball" You dont see that that kinda stuck up attitude is why everyone hates and attacks you?
You can't just talk about baseball, you have to bring in your arrogance of how you are the best even when you arent. Then you call a team out for BUYING PLAYERS and not being fair and spending too much when that team STILL SPENDS 45 MILLION A YEAR LESS THEN YOUR TEAM. Then your owner comes out and basically says you guys can just afford to buy Santana and you think that kinda thing is ok.
Do you seriously still not get why NOBODY likes you when you post your shit? Shit that half the time it seems you made up cause not even your own team's fans will agree with you, and the BIGGEST homer Yankee fan in the world, Franscessa, also thinks you are insane. When you make a pro Yankee point and even Mike doesn't agree, something should maybe tell you that you are wrong

You have any idea how embarrassing it is for teams to win with a payroll of 100mil less?? AND on top of had have 22 fucking cheaters??? Can't you grasp that?? Can't you grasp how much of a disaster we are right now?? If you were a true fan, you would be fucking LIVID!.. Hank was OK at first.. You could have said.. OK he speaks his mind.. Good, he is like his dad.. But his dad NEVER!! EVER!!! Fucked up trades by NOT SHUTTING UP! It fuckin kills the team. The Santana deal would have been DONE probably 2nd day of the Winter meetings if Hank just let Cashman do his job.. And like Snoogans said.. we do not call you names out of anything personal.. From ESPN
Report: Potential editor for Canseco book says he doesn't have goods on A-Rod
Former Sports Illustrated associate editor Don Yaeger, who had initially planned on collaborating on Jose Canseco's next book, has decided against working with the former slugger, according to a published report.
"I'm passing," Yaeger told the New York Daily News. "I had a chance to review the Jose Canseco [material] that he provided me. I don't think there's a book there. I don't know what they're going to do. I don't think he's got what he claims to have, certainly doesn't have what he claims to have on A-Rod. There's no meat on the bones."
Canseco finalized a deal for his sequel to "Juiced" and it is expected to hit bookstores by Opening Day of the 2008 season, two New York newspapers reported last month.
The working title of the book is "Vindicated."

If you have the same attitude for the Yanks as the NY PAPERS. Then you are not a fan.. Because they aren't fans.. They like you post retarded shit just to get attention.. And you only posted that shit about Mattingly after EVERYBODY MURDERED you for it... And you do not have to highlight things.. We can all read and find out for ourselves.. if anything thats a good sign. usually if someone does NATURALLy put on muscle, it takes a little bit to adjust and change your swing and things around your new size. Kinda like what happened to Tiger Woods with that one year. That actually probably means he isnt on anything cause it means it took him awhile to build it

ive admitted im wrong a tons of times. The only reason you have never seen them is cause YOU ARE NEVER RIGHT TO TELL YOU THAT. Ask plenty of people. in fact, go look at all the sports threads. I post in TONS of them, usually at some point disagreeing with people. Yet we never fight or lose respect because those people know how to logically think and respond to people. If i say something bad about someone else's team and they dont agree, we talk about it. Someone tells you something you dont agree with, and you FLIP OUT and act like they cant be right and all they do is hate the yankees. THATS why everyone starts fighting with you. Cause you dont talk to anyone like a human and you cant take shit. I have never once complained about a name you called me or that you called me a potsmoking retard cause I said you were wrong. When he was up for the job vs Girardi.. Most Yankee fans did not want him to have the job.. But BDC viciously went on an attack calling him a whiny bitch, i believe saying Girardi is a man and he isnt.. Something with a post of pictures and saying Girardi would do this lie a man, i forget.. If we could move this back towards actual Yankee news, here's some of the horrible variety. (http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/01/05/cashman-my-job-has-changed/)
I wouldn't overreact just yet. Tyler Kepner had an article a few days ago about how Hank and Hal have equal power in the organization. Hank can shoot off his mouth all he wants, he can't do anything without Hal who is more closely aligned with Cashman. They're both on board with the new youth movement, so thats not threatened. Also the last time Cashman had his contract winding down, he let it go till the very end. He even packed up his stuff and said goodbye to his staff. So I'd expect he'll do the same this time, in order to get what he wants out of his next deal. If nothing else, he's still very influential in the organization. They hired Girardi, who was a Cashman backed guy and they have yet to give up the farm for Santana. Somebody's listening to him.

Clemens sues (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3184646)
obviously he knows he looked like shit last night, so now he is gonna waste money and sue, which will probably amount to nothing. I bet he even did this so he can tell Congress he cant come cause its pending litigation

I never thought of it that way, but that makes a ton of sense. It's weird when you actually make valid points. I wish I cared enough about steroid use to actually give two shits about Clemens and the thousand other players that doped during their careers. This whole circus is such a waste of time.

He said today that he's informed Congress that he's going to go and testify under oath.
